Group Big Bang leader GDragon has been voted #1 by netizens as the ‘Overrated singer songwriter’.
Community site DCInside did a poll on the question “Which singer songwrite do you think is overrated?” from 22nd to 29th September. And GDragon was given 8133 (52.6%) votes out of 15,467 votes, coming in at #1.

GDragon has been writing many songs since he was in Big Bang like ‘Lies’, ‘Last Farewell’ etc. But he was under plagiarism accusations with the release of his solo debut song ‘Heartbreaker’ released last month. And that was why he was voted in #1 on the survey.
Coming in at #2 is singer producer Park Jin Young with 1049 votes (6.8%). Park Jin Young has written many hits like ‘Don’t Leave Me’, ‘Behind you’, ‘That girl is pretty’ and ‘Honey’ etc. He always promised new and fresh music every time, but he has been under accusations of plagiarism several times as well.
At #3 is singer Lee MinWoo with 1007 votes (6.5%). He has been writing lyrics since his time in ShinHwa. After that he wrote the lyrics for several hits like Jewelry’s ‘Super Star’ and ‘One More Time’ and V.O.S ‘Beautiful Life’. And subsequently for his solo album there were songs which were written by him but as compared to his lyrics-writing capabilities, there was not much acknowledgement given to his song-writing skills.

'Calling For Love' cannot be release.
Idol drama 'Calling For Love' which was originally slated to release on the 18th of October is still unable to get approval from mainland China. Hence, yesterday afternoon, CTS announced that Angie's other drama 'Shanghai Sweetheart' will be replacing. But many of Charlene's fans are extremely angry, and have started heated debates online.
Charlene Choi & Mike He's drama 'Calling For Love' have already stood up the audience twice, both reasons were because they were unable to get approval from China, and hence still has not yet aired. Yesterday, on the CTS official discussion board, there were many angry fans pointing out that CTS has already aired 2 weeks of 'Calling For Love' previews, and they can't just decide not to air it. There were also fans who wanted the producer to 'toughen up' saying: "Why does China have to decide whether a Taiwanese drama can air or not everytime?!" And Charlene has revealed that recently, she is developing health problems and often faints, and hence wants to take a break for 1 year.

Nicholas Tse and Barbie Hsu going film a new movie
Beijing September 30, according to some Hong Kong media reports, Nicholas Tse and Barbie Hsu (Big S) visited Sai Kung Cheng Feng Studio, Hong Kong yesterday (29th September) to film a new movie directed by Director Wing Shya; Hot Summer. The both of them have met years ago but this is the first time they both cooperate in a movie. Nicholas also clarified that wife, Cecelia Cheung is not pregnant.

Actress Riko Narumi (17) will star in a period drama series on NHK next year. This will be her first role in a jidaigeki work.
The ten-episode series, titled "Sakuya Konohana," deals with the well-known Hyakunin Isshu card game, in which players must be the first to grab cards based on recited poems. Narumi plays a slightly peculiar young girl trying to lead an ordinary life, who wins a Hyakunin Isshu competition. She heads to Edo Castle for a major tournament, where her winning streak quickly draws attention. Throughout this, she grows as an individual and experiences her first love with a revenge-seeking ronin.

New TV program ‘関パニ / Kan-Pani
Recently in Tokyo KANJANI∞ recorded video footage for the new TV program ‘関パニ / Kan-Pani' which will be hosted by the group. The first broadcast is set to go on air on October 7th. In between the recordings, the members were asked by an interviewer what sort of things they would like to try out in their program. Shibuya Subaru eagerly replied “It might be interesting to write songs bit by bit each week. Eventually we could perform the songs exclusively on this program.” Yokoyama revealed his ‘true' ambitions by saying “I'll like to appear in a ‘gestsuku' drama.” Everyone laughed at his joke. [‘Getsuku; 月9' literally means ‘Monday night from 9 o'clock'. In Japan it is generally considered as the time when the most popular dramas are broadcast.]
For the new program the KANJANI∞ members themselves will have to come up with various projects and games to tackle. In the process, they will experience new and novel things in an up close and personal manner. Using their favorite instruments, the members will each announce the program's title, and there are also plans for the group to record a single. This program will be broadcast at midnight and not in the middle of the day. “We could do things that we couldn't have done during daytime broadcasts.” (Nishikido Ryo) “I think we'll get to try out weird and strange things. It's all up to the staff, but I hope we have a chance to do those sorts of things.” (Yokoyama You) The members are confident they can take on anything!

Dramas featuring up and coming young actors
A plethora of new dramas are about to begin this autumn. From the many dramas attracting attention, Oricon announced the most highly anticipated dramas among viewers.
According to the survey titled ‘Autumn Drama Series Expectations Ranking', the most highly anticipated drama is ‘ライアーゲーム シーズン2 / Liar Game Season 2', starring Toda Erika and Matsuda Shota. The first season broadcast in the spring of 2007 received rave reviews and became a big hit. Since ‘Liar Game Season 2' is the direct sequel to the popular season 1, viewers are expecting a lot from the upcoming drama.
‘東京DOGS / Tokyo DOGS' came in at No.2. Oguri Shun and Mizushima Hiro, who are easily the most popular of all young actors, will play the main characters. Yoshitaka Mariko will become the heroine. ‘Tokyo DOGS' also stoked interest by becoming the first serious detective drama to be broadcast from 9 o'clock in the evening on Mondays, which is usually the time that the most popular dramas are broadcast. Viewers are looking forward to seeing the popular actors in action.
The abovementioned two dramas practically dominated the charts, with the two titles becoming the most popular among both male and female viewers, and also people in their teens, 20s and 30s.

The large scale drama's filming was conducted overseas for an extended period of time. It perked the interest of people in their 20s or above, and was No.3 among viewers in their 20s and 30s, and No.1 for people in their 40s. The viewers are especially excited about the deliberate, serious storyline.
For No.4, the 8th installment of the popular drama series ‘相棒 season8 / Aibo [Partner] season8' ranked in. ‘Aibo' was followed by two other sequels, ‘オトメン(乙男) ～秋～ / Otomen ～Autumn～' and ‘交渉人 THE NEGOTIATOR'. Arashi member Aiba Masaki will star in his first lead role for ‘マイガール / My Girl', popular young actor Miura Haruma changes into a samurai in ‘サムライ・ハイスクール / Samurai High School', and the list goes on.

Angela Zhang’s new song ‘White’
Angela Zhang’s new song ‘White’, whether it’s the overall style or chorus melody, is very similar to Avril Lavigne’s song ‘Innocence’. Especially during one part of the song where Angela sings the line ‘You are an invisible wound’ (你是無形的傷口); the technique of tone-switching sounds exactly the same as the ‘I need you’ line in Avril’s song.
The Wedding of The Year
To prepare themselves for ‘The Wedding of The Year’, the bridesmaids and groomsmen of local MediaCorp artistes, Christopher Lee and Fann Wong were up and about at 4am early this morning. The girls headed to Shangri-La hotel for hair and makeup before they made their way to Fann’s house for the groom’s arrival.
Fellow MediaCorp artiste, Patricia Mok, led the pack of eight bridesmaids which consists of Constance Song, Yilin, Dawn Yeoh, Fan Wen Qing (Fann’s sister) and many more. The chatty girls were at all smiles, patiently waiting for Chris’s arrival at Fann’s Boulevard Residences apartment.
At 7.30am sharp, Chris finally arrived at the lobby of Fann’s apartment with his gang of 20 brothers which includes both current and ex-MediaCorp actors. The “sisters” immediately got their act together and informed the groom that he had to go through four different tests before he can finally pick up his lovely bride.
The first test: Curry rice
For the first round, Patricia specially purchased Chris’s favourite dish, curry rice and explained, “Chris will have the ability to care for himself and for the rest of Fann’s life after eating the curry rice.”
The groom and his ravenous bunch of “brothers” gobbled the five packets of curry rice in a span of five minutes, easily completing the first round of test. To prevent the groom from dirtying himself, Fann’s thoughtful bridesmaids even arranged for Chris to don a bathrobe over his tailored suit.
The second test: Porridge with wine
Following their courtship story which saw Chris cooking a bowl of porridge for Fann when she was sick, Patricia specially prepared a bowl of porridge with additional ingredients for the unsuspecting groom. The confident groom beamed from ear to ear and said, “Apart from me, who else will be clearer about this? Let me tell you, we have not collaborated for more than 10 productions!”
The groom proceeded to list his nine different productions with Fann. The motley crew of sisters requested for another production title and was teased by Chris’s groomsmen for their mix-up.
Patricia gamely volunteered to do pushups to amend for their mistake despite her fellow sisters’ protests. It was a close shave for the girls as the groomsmen attempted to break through their barrier and almost made their way through the lobby doors up to Fann’s apartment.
The fourth test: Kiss the white radish
Chris’s last test was also the trickiest test prepared for him. The cheeky Patricia wanted to test his “kissing skills” and inserted a coin into a white radish and wanted Chris to extract the coin with his mouth.
The groom protested, “My kissing skills are no good! Fann knows it too!” Despite his initial protests, he had no choice but to comply with the test. After a few attempts, he finally succeeded in extracting the coin in one big breath.
The entire gatecrash session between Fann’s group of sisters and Chris’s brothers lasted for a good 30minutes and the anxious groom finally made his way up to Fann’s apartment at 8.05am.
At 8.25am, together with Fann and her father, the trio arrived at the lobby basement. Following Chinese traditions, Fann’s father held a red umbrella over his darling daughter whose face radiated with happiness as she walked out of the elevator with her arms tightly linked with Chris’s.
Politely thanking reporters for their well-wishes and blessings, the newly-weds proceeded with their wedding rituals and left for their next wedding destination at Shangri-La hotel for the tea-ceremony.
Fellow MediaCorp artiste, Patricia Mok, led the pack of eight bridesmaids which consists of Constance Song, Yilin, Dawn Yeoh, Fan Wen Qing (Fann’s sister) and many more. The chatty girls were at all smiles, patiently waiting for Chris’s arrival at Fann’s Boulevard Residences apartment.
At 7.30am sharp, Chris finally arrived at the lobby of Fann’s apartment with his gang of 20 brothers which includes both current and ex-MediaCorp actors. The “sisters” immediately got their act together and informed the groom that he had to go through four different tests before he can finally pick up his lovely bride.
The first test: Curry rice
For the first round, Patricia specially purchased Chris’s favourite dish, curry rice and explained, “Chris will have the ability to care for himself and for the rest of Fann’s life after eating the curry rice.”
The groom and his ravenous bunch of “brothers” gobbled the five packets of curry rice in a span of five minutes, easily completing the first round of test. To prevent the groom from dirtying himself, Fann’s thoughtful bridesmaids even arranged for Chris to don a bathrobe over his tailored suit.

Together one girlgroup performing on stage
After School UEE, KARA Han SeungYeon, Brown Eyed Girls GaIn and 4Minute HyunA will come together as one girlgroup performing on stage.
There has been some rumours going around netizens about the ace members from various girlgroups coming together as one special project.
A netizen has uploaded photos of UEE, Han SeungYeon, GaIn, HyunA at an undisclosed place in Seoul for a photoshoot online recently and the rumour started from there. Especially since the members are the core members from their own groups, it has attracted more attention from the netizens.
With that a corresponding staff revealed on 28th September, “There are plans for UEE, Han SeungYeon, GaIn and HyunA to come together as a project group promoting this October.”
With only the members to this project group revealed, netizens are curious for more information like MV filming and album releases.

Brown Eyed Girls Narsha has revealed an episode related to actress Ha Ji Won.
Narsha revealed during a recent telerecording of SBS ‘YaShimManMan 2′, “It makes me very happy.” after she was asked the quesiton, “There are many people who say I look like Ha JiWon, how do you feel about it?”.
She added, “There was once when we first debuted, there was one person who came up to me to told me he like me and asked for autograph even though we were not so well known. And he told me I looked like Ha JiWon.”
Other than that, on the show some of the questions posed to Narsha were “Are you not jealous of GaIn who hasbeen gaining much popularity recently?”, “Do you put on makeup to that one eye which is covered by your fringe when you perform Abracadabra?” etc

New drama "Liar Game 2"
Japan's rising idol Toda Erika and Matsuda Shota join hands in the new drama "Liar Game 2". This upcoming drama is the most anticipated one by viewers.
According to the Japanese press, the Fall dramas which will start airing in October and November are a really exciting mix. Other than "Liar Game 2", "Tokyo DOGS", which stars the popular idols Oguri Shun and Mizushima Hiro, is also highly anticipated. Yoshitaka Yuriko joins them as the lead actress. This is the first time Fuji TV aired a police drama during their Monday 9:00pm time slot. As a result, this drama has already stirred interest even before airing.
In third place is the drama adapted from a novel of the same name by Yamazaki Toyoko - "Fumo Chitai". Karasawa Toshiaki, from "The White Tower", takes the lead role, and is joined by Yanagiba Toshiro, Takenouchi Yutaka, Wakui Emi and Amami Yuki. With a huge budget from the TV station, the drama had overseas location shooting and was filmed using High Definition techniques, making this drama the most highly anticipated drama among the white-collars.

'electricity shutdown' concert at the Taiwan Dome
In order to keep their promise to fans, Mayday paid a price of NT800,000, giving birth to the first 'electricity shutdown' concert at the Taiwan Dome.
They encored till late the night before and kept their promise, deciding to sing till 12 midnight. The Dome staff stood behind the audio control and stared intently at the stopwatches in their hands. Mayday left the stage at 11.59pm and switched off the sound system, indicating that they will not sing anymore. The stage turned pitch dark all of a sudden and just as the peaceful silence is about to resume, the tens of thousands of people continued singing "la la la" in harmony.
Ashin shouted in the darkness, "Let me hear your voices! The Dome is ours! This world is ours!" Their fans were touched to tears and Mayday went up stage once more. With torchlights in their hands, they bowed to the crowd. The concert hall lit up at 12.05am and the crowd was finally willing to leave. Even after switching off the lights and sound system, everyone in the Dome still continued to sing. Singer Ivy will release the 30-day making-of story on preparing for her comeback coming October will be revealed on homepage (www.ivynus.co.kr) on 29th September.

Tsuchiya Anna had a concert at Yokohama Arena
After announcing her pregnancy via her official website last week, Japanese singer and model Tsuchiya Anna took part in a concert the other day at Yokohama Arena. Already three months pregnant, she performed at the charity concert 'Live For Love'. Wearing a black t-shirt, it wasn't very apparent that Tsuchiya was pregnant. Not minding her current state, she sang and danced on stage for 20 minutes in front of 23,000 fans. After singing four songs, she expressed that it wasn't enough. She yelled down to the fans below saying that she could "still sing up to 10 songs!"

MBC TV drama Heading to the Ground
On the morning of September 25th, Beijing time, according to South Korean media reports that MBC TV drama Heading to the Ground”’s rating are in a bitter struggle. In between the 17th and 23rd of September, the ratings were recorded more than 5 %. However, during the late 24th of September, the drama’s ratings have yet again reached below 5 %.
South Korea’s ratings, according to research firm AGB Nielsen Company released on the morning of the 25th, statistics show that after the 24th’s brodacast of “Heading to the Ground,” the ratings have once again dropped back down again.
“Heading to the Ground” is a drama which Jung Yunho of TVXQ stars in, and has become a popular topic. However, after the drama has begun broadcasting, there has not been much improvement in ratings, with ratings hovering around 4-5 %.

Romance film will open in Korea
Chinese actress Gao Yuanyuan and South Korean actor Jung Woo Sung, will appear in a photo shoot to be published in the October issue of "Vogue," sina.com.cn reports.
The two actors recently worked together in a joint Korean-Chinese movie entitled "Season of Good Rain," or "Chengdu, I Love You."
Their latest movie, directed by Heo Jin Ho, tells the story of a couple who first meet as students in the United States and encounter each other years later in Chengdu and realize that they are still in love.
The film's title "Season of Good Rain" comes from a poem by ancient Chinese poet Du Fu from the Tang Dynasty, which begins with the verse "Good rain knows when to come; it awaits the spring to fall."

Upcoming music album Fifth Floor’s Happiness
At a recent press conference held in Taiwan for his upcoming music album Fifth Floor’s Happiness, Hong Kong Cantopop singer Eason Chan flies into a rage at the mention of his rumours with fellow singer, Kay Tse. “Am I supposed to bring my wife along for this press conference now?”
The singer appeared at the press conference after having only a few hours of sleep from shooting. Donning shades and a messy hairstyle, Eason explained his stance on the ongoing rumours. “I don’t understand how it can still be spreading? Did I or did my manager offend anybody? Or did Kay, her husband or her manager offend anybody? I feel that someone is behind all these.”
Eason shared that he and his wife, Hilary Tsui, have not particularly discussed about this issue. As he spoke on, the aggravated singer snapped, “I’ve said it but none of you will believe it. Your IQ levels should be better than the Hong Kong media’s.”
At the mention of his daughter, the pricked singer retorted angrily, “My life is not all about my wife, daughter and my marriage. All these topics are a bit too over. It is very tiring to be always talking about someone’s private matters.”

The wax figure of Li Yuchun, winner of the televised "Super Voice Girl" singing contest in 2005, was unveiled Thursday in Madame Tussauds Shanghai.
Li, aged 25, is the only mainland singer who rose through singing contests so far to have a replica in the museum.
The museum has wax figures of many celebrities, including Chinese film director Zhang Yimou and American film star Angelina Jolie.
Li Yuchun appeared on the cover of Time Asia Magazine on Oct. 3, 2005, as one of the 25 Asian Heroes of the year.
Hunan TV's "Super Voice Girl" (which is like the "American Idol TV show), drew 400 million viewers for the finale of its four-month run in 2005 and helped contestants, including the winner, Li Yuchun, gain nationwide celebrity.

Mutizen Song award on "Inkigayo Live"
K-pop idol G-Dragon won SBS music show's top prize for the third consecutive week.
The singer and songwriter took the Mutizen Song award on "Inkigayo Live" with the hit tune "Heartbreaker" on Sunday, winning over Brown Eyed Girls, Kara, Jewelry, 4Minute and Baek Ji-young.
"I will work harder and I would like to thank all the staff," said the 21-year-old singer in his acceptance speech.
G-Dragon is the leader of five-member boy band Big Bang, who are currently on a break as a group with each member pursuing his own solo activities.

The group are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut in November. To mark the occasion, various members of the group will appear on an estimated 50 hours of programming during a seven-day period. They'll make live appearances on the network's most popular variety and news shows and will perform their hits during a special live concert. The final dates have yet to be announced.
With the members of fellow Johnny's group SMAP now all into their 30's, Arashi have a strong hold on the teenage and young adult fan base. But although they have a string of No.1 hits, it was only with the recent release of a greatest hits album, "All the Best, 1999-2009" that they had their first million seller. bae Yong-joon, or Yonsama, has finally revealed the Korea-related book he has been preparing for many months, called Journey in Search of Korea’s Beauty.
In order to gather information to incorporate into his book exploring traditional Korean culture, Bae Yong-joon spent over a year traveling the country to research various topics; for instance, his first step was to visit countryside villages to learn the process for making kimchi in the traditional method.
The book details the properties and history of kimchi that he’d learned along the way and includes recipes learned from his teachers, such as one for traditional dduk (rice cakes), kalbi steak, and even one for stuffed cucumber kimchi provided by Bae’s own mother.
Bae Yong-joon has expressed an interest in introducing Korean cuisine to the global market and owns restaurants in Korea and Japan; he writes in his book that he felt moved by the traditional food he encountered, which felt like “a step toward the globalization of Korean cuisine.” He also worked with specialists in the fields of pottery, lacquer ware, hanbok design, etc., as he explored areas of traditional Korean culture such as kimchi making, temple stay, hanbok, tea, ceramics, and more.

Jerry new album - 多出來的自由/Freedom
Jerry Yan ChengXu will be releasing both his 2010 Desk Calendar and 2010 Wall Calendar in Japan next month; pre-orders began in August. It's already been on the HMV "Top Pre-Orders" List for four consecutive weeks; he's far ahead of Korea's Boys Before Flowers, currently at number 5. In fact, Jerry's two calendars are sitting at the number one (champion) and number two (runner-up) spots; it's quite astounding!
Jerry has been busy recently, what with the release of his album, 多出來的自由/Freedom, and his filming schedule for GTV's 就想賴著妳/Just Want To Depend on You. He typically shoots for his calendar in Japan; this year, however, he stayed in Taiwan. He used famed photographer 蘇益良 Su YiLiang and famed stylist 陳孫華 Chen SunHua, both of whom have worked repeatedly with the hottest stars, with heavenly kings and queens. The backdrops for his calendar shoots include such places as Taiwan's 自來水博物館 Museum of Drinking Water and 華山 HuaShan's 藝文中心 Center for the Arts. They match Jerry's "city poet" and "declining aristocrat" image well; in addition to showing off his unique "dispirited, melancholy" charm, the scenery will help his Japanese fans experience some of Taipei's many different feels.

SBS drama "Glorious Heritage" release on 22nd
Actress Han Hyo Joo, who gained a lot of fame from the SBS drama "Glorious Heritage," will make a comeback, being cast in a music drama called, "Soul."
Her role in the music drama will be a singer/song-writer, who falls in love with a doctor named, YooGil (acted out by Kim Dong Wook). Other stars such as Lee Chae Young, K.Will, Bobby Kim, and Rumble Fish will also make appearances in the music drama, which is set to take place at JeJu Island.
Although this was not a movie, the production cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. It will be a total of 60 minutes, cut into 5 minutes each, totaling 12 episodes, and will be released through online portal sites. The entire 60 minutes of music drama will also broadcast over KBS, as well as a music video made up of 4 parts.
Stay tuned for the release of the 1st episode on the 22nd.

WooYoung was seen in the famcam exchanging looks with JaeBum on stage, and saying, “힘내야지…힘내야지 (Have strength, have strength)”, encouraging JaeBum to show his leader features again.
The fancam was taken 2PM’s performance at the 2009 InCheon Korean Music Wave Festival on 5th September, a day when the whole JaeBum’s MySpace controversy was blown out of proportions. JaeBum has also revealed his official apology about the incident earlier that day.

6 member boy group released a new Japanese single
Working with T-ara to form a project group isn't the only thing Supernova (Choshinsung) is up to these days. The 6 member boy group released a new Japanese single last week titled "Kimidake Wo Zutto" which got up to #5 on the Oricon Daily Charts, thus showing their efforts to penetrate the Japanese market.
To commemorate their efforts into Japan, Supernova held a special event on September 13th at the Higashi Ikebukuro Sunshine Plaza in Tokyo, Japan. More than 2,000 fans were in attendance and they performed three songs including their new single "Kimidake Wo Zutto." At the event Supernova stated, "We're going to work hard so that one day we can achieve number 1 on the Oricon Charts like TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki has. It's also a goal of ours to perform at the Tokyo Dome one day like TVXQ."

Big action drama Iris is about to premiere
Now that big action drama Iris is about to premiere, here’s a look at Kim Tae-hee in new stills from the spy show, where she plays the country’s top profiler. As a member of the NSS (the national security agency), she develops romantic storylines with two of her colleagues, played by Lee Byung-heon and Jung Jun-ho. Actress Kim So-yeon rounds out the main love rectangle as a fellow spy.
This is Kim Tae-hee’s first drama in five years; after her 2004 series Love Story in Harvard, she attempted a jump to film with movies like The Restless and Venus and Mars, but both were flops and she was generally panned for the role. 2006 Korean blockbuster hit "200 Pounds Beauty"
It has been confirmed that a sequel to the 2006 Korean blockbuster hit "200 Pounds Beauty" (or literally in Korean "Being a Beautiful Woman is Painful") is currently in the works!

36th Korean Broadcast Awards
The 36th Korean Broadcast Awards were held on the 3rd. During the awards ceremony, SNSD's Yoona jokingly stuck out her tongue at the other SNSD members, and now it's a hot topic.
In order to present awards, Yoona was on stage with singer Eun Jiwon. Meanwhile, the other members of SNSD were sitting down waiting to perform. Yoona first looked at the members with an expression saying that she was glad to see them, and then she slightly stuck out her tongue.

New MV will be released next Monday
Earlier it was confirmed that Super Junior-M is confirmed for their comeback this month, revealing that their new MV will be released next Monday on September 14th. But that's not the only surprise. It looks like this new MV will be starring SNSD / Girls Generation's very own Jessica, who we haven't heard much of lately. Supposedly out of all the SNSD members, Jessica was the one chosen to be in the MV because of her popularity in China.

Taiwanese drama series, Black & White
Popular Taiwanese actor-singer, Kingone (also known as Wang Chuan Yi), who was recently seen in the role of a drug-trafficker in the much-adulated Taiwanese drama series, Black & White, just finished his service with the Taiwanese army.
In Black & White, Kingone took on the role of a drug-trafficker named Gao Yi. As he was still involved in filming for the drama series while he was serving the army, he had a couple of close shaves with his officers that were indirectly caused by his baddie-role in the show. Kingone chuckled as he shared an experience he had with an officer in the camp who said to him, “You are definitely taking drugs! Fall out and take a urine test!”
The actor quietly complied with the instructions of the officer but had another close brash with his army officer when he went on leave and partook in the promotional activities for the movie, Love. Kingone’s officer peeped at the schedule on his mobile phone and openly confronted him, “Do you know that army personnel are not allowed to accept interviews?”
Since the confrontation with his officer, Kingone decided to keep a low-profile and did not have any photos taken for the promotional events for Black & White. As if fate was playing tricks on him, his drug-trafficker role in Black & White also marked his most titular role to date ever since his acting debut five years ago, and left a deep impression on viewers.

As the actor’s once inner eyelids are now prominent double eyelids, he was repeatedly quizzed if he had undergone a double eyelid surgery. The first episode to Dong Bang Shin Ki UKnow YunHo’s debut drama ‘Heading To The Ground’ has been aired on 9th September. And YunHo’s acting has been said to be above expectations.
It is said that he has brought out 120% the charms of the character Cha BongGoon whom he plays in the drama, from the character’s defiancy to cuteness.
Even though there were some awkward acting for his first acting attempt, on the whole he has brought out Cha BongGoon’s charms out, proving his acting skills.
Also with that fact that the director to the show is Park SeongSoo, who has discovered the acting talents of other stars like Eric and Yang DongGeun, there is high possibility that YunHo will follow that trend.

Big Bang GDragon has revealed a photo taken with fellow member TaeYang and company seonbae Se7en.

FT Island’s Lee Hongki is making a comeback as an actor after a period of 5 years.
Filming for SBS new mini series “You’re Beautiful” started recently. Though many people already know him as the main vocal of FT Island, few knew that he actually debuted as a child actor. He was casted in MBC’s “Freezing Point” in 2004. Thereafter, he continued his studies and also passed the audition which led him to being part of the band, FT Island.
In the SBS Wed-Thu drama, “You’re Beautiful“, which is stated to air in October, Lee Hongki will play the role of Jeremy, drummer of the band. The filming started on 2nd September at Incheon International Airport, a scene where he met the other members.
After completing his filming that day, he expressed that, “It’s the first time I’m filming for a drama ever since my middle school days. I’m really enjoying it. When I was younger, it was amazing and at the same time, enjoyable when I was at the filming location. Now, even if I’m tired, I feel good when I’m filming.”
He also said that, “Even though our members are all busy with their individual activities, many people are giving us lots of support. And with that, from now on, I will show a better image of myself as an actor.”

Jay Chou’s personal design sketch for his self-directed idol drama ‘Pandamen’ has been revealed! Besides the cute helmets worn by the heroic panda supermen, we can also be the first to glimpse Pandamen’s extravagant home, as well as Jay’s idea of hiding the Pandamen outfits in the secret study room.
When Jay first handed his personal design sketch to the drama’s design/art crew, everyone was extremely shocked, and repeatedly commented how he can do everything and anything! Actually, Jay’s drawing talent comes from his mother Ye Hui Mei, who is now a retired junior high art teacher. When Zhou Mama used to help her students with their artwork, Jay would watch on the side, and from when he was little, immersed himself into the painting world.
Staff members expressed that just the people & outfits designs alone took 2 months to complete, after 10 alterations. Jay guests in the drama as a detective, but it happens to be that the detective is extremely busy, filming ‘Ci Ling’, and now going to America to film ‘The Green Hornet’. Now that the drama is in the post-production stage, every scene that contains special effects all have to be e-mailed to Jay to look over and review.

The drama was initially prepared to air in China in December, but now the post-production process has fallen behind, and it could be delayed to January next year. And initially, the production fees were set to be $2million per episode, but now this has more than doubled, with total production fees for 20 episodes breaking $80million. However, Jay’s charm is invincible; ‘Pandamen’s airing rights have auctioned to a massive $1.5million RMB per episode (NT $7.18million)

Square Enix recently held an event in Tokyo for its upcoming game "Final Fantasy XIII," where it revealed that the game will be released for the Playstation 3 in Japan on December 17. Among other information, the singer for the game's theme song was also announced.
Previous games in the "Final Fantasy" series have featured singers such as Faye Wong and Angela Aki. This time, the honor has been given to relatively new artist Sayuri Sugawara (19). The theme song is a ballad titled "Kimi ga Iru Kara," which will be released on December 2. Sugawara has a second song featured in the game, titled "Eternal Love."

Kawaguchi is a model for teen magazine 'nicola'
It was revealed on the 7th that model Haruna Kawaguchi (14) will make her debut as an actress on Fuji TV's Monday night drama Tokyo Dogs. She will play the role of Takakura Karin, sister of elite detective Takakura Sou played by Oguri Shun (26). Karin is a 17 year old high school girl who meddles in her brother's life because she cares for him.

Yojiro Takita's award-winning film "Okuribito"
Over the weekend, movie distributor Shochiku announced that Yojiro Takita's award-winning film "Okuribito" ("Departures") is being adapted as a stage play next year.
The movie stars Masahiro Motoki (43) as a man coming to terms with death in his new job of preparing bodies for burial, while Ryoko Hirosue (29) plays his wife. In the stage version, the couple will be played by Kantaro Nakamura (27) and Lena Tanaka (29).
The concept and the characters will be the same as in the film, but plot details are being changed. The play will be performed at the Akasaka ACT Theater in Tokyo starting on May 28, 2010. Additional performances in Osaka and Nagoya are also planned.

Viewers have vented their dissatisfaction online, mostly complaining that they were "frustrated by the hysterical acting style of the film" and "couldn't help but drift away while watching it."

"Weaving Girl," directed by Wang Quan'an and staring actress Yu Nan, tells about the struggling life of a textile factory woman worker. It won both the special Grand Prix of the Jury, the runner-up prize, as well as the International film critics prize.
The top prize, the Grand Prix of the Americas, was won by French director Tony Gatlif's "Korkoro" (Freedom), a film about a gypsy family fighting for freedom under the Nazi rule in France. It also received the public award for the most popular film, chosen by the audience.
The best actress award was awarded to Marie Leuenberger for her performance in Micha Lewinsky's "Die Standesbeamtin," from Switzerland, while the best actor trophy went to Cyron Melville for his star turn in Danish director Morten Giese's "Vangittig Forelsket."

After breaking up with his agent E.E. Media, singer Chen Chusheng looks likely to sign a deal with China's largest private entertainment group, Huayi Bro., sina.com reports.

Fashion magazine PINKY is coming to an end, it was announced on Wednesday. The magazine's publisher, Shueisha, stated that it would end publication with the upcoming February issue (on sale December 22).
Targeted at young women, PINKY was launched in August 2004. It currently features popular models such as Nozomi Sasaki (21) and Yukina Kinoshita (21). However, according to Shueisha, the magazine has recently been suffering due to the poor economy.

Kim Hyun-joong and Moon Geun-young have been chosen the best TV drama actors in a worldwide vote.
Kim and Moon received over 25.5 million and 25.2 million votes, respectively, to earn the title of most popular TV drama actor and actress, according to a joint online poll carried out by the Seoul International Drama Awards 2009 and Yahoo! Korea on fans from 50 countries around the world.

MBC's 'Music Core' on the 5th
Sunny, a member of the popular girl group SNSD, said, 'I want to the youngest forever.'
The showcase for rookie girl group f(x) took place on the 2nd at Samseong-dong Fashion Center's event hall on the third floor. Sunny was an MC at this event and said, 'I'm sad that I'm no longer the youngest in my agency.'
After she introduced the members of f(x), she found out that one of the members was born in 1994. She said, 'I thought I would be the youngest forever, but that is no longer possible.'
Super Junior's Leeteuk was also an MC and he caused people to burst into laughter by saying, 'Tell them [the audience] that f(x)'s youngest member and I are 11 years apart.'
The fact that Super Junior's Heechul and Kangin were present at the event drew attention. Kangin yelled out, saying that f(x) members were 'pretty', and Heechul said, 'If I was younger, I would want to join the group [f(x)].'

The popular boy idol group of Korea, 2PM, have garnered the name beast idols because of their beastly charisma compared to other idol groups. Out of the 7 unique members, Nichkhun is known to be very popular and he has been very active in the Korean variety programs. Even though it hasn't been long since he started learning Korean, he still manages to make many people laugh whenever he appears on variety shows. Star King is a program where Nichkhun has a permanent spot like Boom and Super Junior's LeeTeuk.
In this week's taping of Star King, Nichkhun showed off his acting skills to the audience as he acted out Korean Top MC, Kang Ho Dong, being mad. Amazed at the newly released single-use transportation card, FT Island rattled on, “Do you know what this is?” While waiting for the train to arrive, the members pointed at the map, got excited and exclaimed, “It’s the SBS Open Hall! So, this is the carpark that leads you in?”

Golden Horse Awards on early september
The 3 film kings Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok & Leon Lai and film queens Shu Qi, Zhou Xun, Zhang Zi Yi & Lin Chi Ling have all been submitted for nominations for this year’s Golden Horse Awards, and it’s been said that this year will be the most star-studded one of the history of Golden Horse Awards. Although all the movie stars participate in the beauty exhibition, in reality, their box office results range from $70million to a mere $40,000; the difference is indeed huge.
More than 100 films have been entered for this year’s Golden Horse Awards. The most popular ones include ‘Red Cliff 2’, ‘IP Man’ and ‘Forever Enthralled’. Taiwanese films include ‘Face’, ‘No Puedo Vivir Sin Ti’, ‘How Are You, Dad?’, ‘Yang Yang’ and ‘Heard’. Amongst the films, there are 73 drama films, 15 creative short films, 10 documentaries, and 2 animated films.
In the ‘Best Actress’ battle, there is Shu Qi’s ‘Look For A Star’ & ‘If You Are The One’, Zhou Xun’s ‘The Equation of Love and Death’, and new producer Zhang Zi Yi’s ‘Sophie’s Revenge’ & ‘Forever Enthralled’. Single ‘Kiss’ coming 7th September
2NE1 member Sandara Park will be releasing a digital single ‘Kiss’ coming 7th September. This is her first solo song released in Korea.
2NE1 who will be ending their promotions for ‘I Don’t Care’ by this week, Sandara Park will go into her solo activities without beforehand news about it. Sandara Park’s ‘Kiss’ is composed by YG main producer Teddy, and will be included in 2NE1’s new album set to be released coming October.
2NE1 has been adopting a different promotion technique of one-week-one-performance. And they also put up new dance choreography every week and for ‘I Don’t Care’ they have shown 3 different remix versions of the song for their performance.
It is also known that the main vocal of the group Park Bom and rapper CL are preparing for their solo songs. And with the sudden news of Sandara Park doing her solo activities, more anticipation are for the group’s promotion in the future.
The song ‘Kiss’ will also feature CL’s rap. This pop genre song talks about the wish of a girl for the guy she likes to come closer and share a kiss.
YG Entertainment said, “2NE1 is a group with members with different talents and individuality. With Sandara Park’s solo song ‘Kiss’, the group members will each show their own charms through their own solo songs.”
2NE1 will be promoting their followup hits from this week which are the 4 other songs from the group’s first minialbum – performing one different song per week.

New girl group T-ara has been sweeping up the charts with their debut single “Lie" and recently appeared on Star Golden Bell where they discussed, what else, their beauty! NHK’s music program ‘Music Japan’
The 5 member group TVXQ, whose 3 members have filed a lawsuit against their agency due to problems with their Exclusive Contract, will continue on with their Japan activities.
TVXQ, on the 29th, have announced the truth about them appearing in the CF of a particular Japan biscuit brand through their Japanese website.
In September, the second version of PINKY’s CF will be broadcasted nationwide, also, the digital single ‘Endless Sweetness’ that was sung by them as a song for the CF is predicted to be released on the 23rd.

According to the respective websites, members Micky Yoochun and Hero Jaejoong will also go for a recording for NHK’s music program ‘Music Japan’ on the 7th of September.
New album entitled [有一天] (Translated as One Day)
Linda Chung attended a radio interview hosted by CRHK yesterday. She revealed that her new album will be released on 12th November and she said that the date has been fixed by her company. She also promoted her self-written song [日夜想你] - [translated as Thinking About You Day and Night] through the radio broadcast yesterday.
Linda said that she was writing the song for the sake of fun and she did not expect that her company would have chosen this song out of the 10 songs in her album as the theme song and to be used for promotion. She said she was nervous about this. Asked if she has thought about anyone when she was writing the song. She said : [I thought about my experience and the guy that I met in the past]. Asked if she thought about Raymond. She replied: [No]. He is not one of them? She said: [No]. The host went further and asked her if there is a chance for both of you to develop further. Linda replied : [I don't know, let God make the decision].
Hopes for a vigorous and romantic love
Linda's album will be based on the theme 'love story' and will be incorporating songs that would reveal her love story. Linda said that she is longing for a vigorous and romantic love in future. Asked if she has experienced them before? She said when she was dating as young girl, everything seems to be vigorous and romantic.
She revealed that one of the songs in her new album entitled [有一天] (Translated as One Day) was one song that she and her brother wrote when they were in the kitchen back home in Vancouver. She said Wong Cho Lam wrote the lyrics for her. Besides, Linda has applied for a short term leave from TVB, she said she would like to concentrate on her album promotion.

Latest upcoming movie, PandaMan
After recently completing the production for his latest upcoming movie, PandaMan, Jay Chou immediately took off to Hollywood for the shooting of The Green Hornet, where he plays Kato, the sidekick to Seth Rogen’s titular Green Hornet. Apart from that, the multi-hyphenate and multiple-award winning singer also wrapped up his concert tour, leaving eager fans with no news about his upcoming music album.
Staunchly sticking to his promise of producing one album a year, Jay shared that he had finished composing ten new songs for his upcoming album. Due to work commitments, however, he will be recording and producing it in the States, where he is presently working, instead of Taiwan.
A prolific name in the industry, Jay can be constantly seen and heard helping out his younger juniors with their musical forays. The singer laughed as he reminisced about his music debut from a singing competition in his younger days, “Look at the competition as a form of game. You must acknowledge yourself to be the number one in your heart – no matter what the judges say. This is the most important point!”
To look more realistic in the role of Kato in The Green Hornet, Jay willingly piled on weight for the movie and was even teased by the media for his weight gain and double-chin. Despite the weight gain, diehard fans of the singer remain unperturbed and remarked, “The fit and meaty Jay still looks really handsome!”

Arashi's best album achieved a million sales on it's 13th day of sales. Arashi's best album "All the BEST! 1999-2009" (released on 19th Aug) achieved the highest 1st week sales in 2009, setting the record of 753,000 sales, by the daily sales count on 31st Aug has accumulated sales of 1,004,000. This is the first album that is released in 2009 that exceeded sales of 1 million. For Arashi, since their debut in November 1999, this is their first work among their singles and albums with million sales.

The KBS variety game show "Start Dream Team" is to come back for a second season this September 13th.
Since 1999 and airing until November 11, 2003 for five years the show that has had big stars of Jo Sung Mo, Rain, Go Soo, Kwon Sang Woo, So Ji Sup, Park Yong Ha and Yoo Jaesuk as guests is having a comeback on September 13th. The new season of "Start Dream Team Season 2 - The Green Team Is Going" has casted past members of Lee Chang Myung as the MC, Shin Jung Hwan and god member Danny Ahn. New members included to be on the show is current Music Bank host and actor Song JoongKi, 2PM member Junho and SHINee's Choi Min Ho.
The pilot is expected to air on the 15th of September at 10:45.
