So, who won the launch? Nintendo, without a doubt. Granted, it's just the first battle in a long war, but it's hard to deny that Mario stomped the competition. Sony probably had anywhere between 125,000 and 175,000 PlayStation 3 consoles in stores for the launch, while Nintendo pumped between 425,000 and 475,000 Wii consoles onto retail shelves, according to one report.
