"Hero" aired in korea on nov 18

Photos from Korean actor Lee Jun-ki's new TV series "Hero" have been released today, according to a press release by broadcaster MBC on Thursday.

The revealed photos show the main character Jin Do-hyuk, played by Lee, coming to work on the first day at a third-rate newspaper publication.

"The director, Lee and other cast members all have great chemistry with one another -- as if they've been working together for a long time. There's always laughter on set," said an official from the production company.

"Everyone including the director, writer, the cast and crew are doing their best in shooting the drama," Lee was quoted as saying.

"I haven't been able to show [fans] the funny and passionate sides to me in my previous work, but please look forward to my role as a passionate journalist," the actor said of his character Jin Do-hyuk.

The 27-year-old star became a household name in 2005 playing a woman-like clown in the hit film "The King and the Clown" and was recently voted the most popular Korean Wave star in China.

"Hero" will start airing in Korea on November 18
