Choosing domain name - Part 2

We suggest focusing on finding a name that will be easy to remember, as well as relevant to the business or organization in question. For example, suppose you were asked to create a website for your best friend. She is a teacher, who wants to start an online tutoring company for kids who need extra help learning French.

First step?
Find a domain.

We want something that identifies her primary service French tutoring as well as perhaps her name or some other unique characteristic. There are countless places online to search and register domains. One of our favorites is godaddy.com. If we use Go Daddy to search for Yahoo.com, which is already taken the tool makes suggestions for related variations that we might consider, such as YahooMembers.com, Yahoo.Ind.In or YahooMembers.net. By continuing to research options on sites like Go Daddy, you are likely to come up with a few creative and appropriate options.
