Popular Web Development Tools

As wrote in previous post, there are two sides to every web page. There is the visual design side that users see, and there is the coding side that holds everything together and makes everything work. Not only are there software tools such as Adobe Dreamweaver which provides an easy-to-use, point-and-click interface, there are also online resources such as WordPress, will write in the next few post, that help you to build simple websites quickly.

For more complex websites which process credit cards and connect to databases, however, you will need to integrate additional programming beyond HTML and CSS. In this next few post, we’ll survey the commonly used tools, software applications, and development platforms available to you, and how they all can be used together to build both simple and complex sites.
