If you’re building a site for a business venture, you have a bit more to consider in terms of finding the right hosting company. There are three main types of business hosting.
Onsite hosting
When a company has the expertise and the equipment to host its own site, it is possible to set up a custom web server right within the company’s office. This option tends to be the most expensive, but it provides a lot of flexibility and customize that many complex corporate sites require.
Dedicated hosting
Companies without either the expertise or the equipment to host their own complex sites often turn to dedicated offsite hosting, where the company is given its own server at a hosting company.
Shared hosting
The most cost-effective hosting option is typically one in which you share space with other businesses on a server owned and managed by a hosting company. Although this option is the least flexible or customizable, it is typically quite suitable for the majority of small- and medium-sized businesses.
