NWN2 - UnderGroundOnline give their verdict @ RPGDot

UDO have released their review of Neverwinter Nights 2 to the public. They have written a thorough four page review of the game, and its well worth taking a peek.

Now, admittedly, if you're coming into NWN 2 fresh from reaching level 60 in World of Warcraft or logging your 100th hour in Oblivion, the experience might seem a little jarring. Obsidian has set out to bring the experience of tabletop role-playing to the PC again in as accurate a way as they can, and this means that you're going to be dealing with stats, skill points, a ridiculous amount of character-creation options and the kind of stuff that most modern CRPGs tend to streamline. To be sure, the game is still very playable; it's not like you have to have a degree in advanced mathematics to play. But it's also more blatant about the rules and numbers that govern combat and character interaction than many of its contemporaries. I wouldn't let it scare you away, but it's something to keep in mind.
