[TVB VARIETY SHOW] Super Trio Series

The Super Trio Show Series (Traditional Chinese: 獎門人系列, literally "The Prize Master Series") was a TV gameshow series produced by TVB. The series debuted in 1994, and remained in production for 10 years due to its popularity. The show was hosted by Eric Tsang (曾志偉) and his two assistants - Jerry Lam Hiu Foong (林曉峰) and Chin Ka Lok (錢嘉樂). Jordan Chan (陳小春) was one of the hosts in Season One, and was replaced by Chin from Season Two onwards.

Each episode featured several popular Hong Kong celebrities as guest stars, and they participated in different games devised by the producers. At the end of each round, attractive (or sometimes bizarre) prizes would be awarded to the winners. The guests' participation in the games and their interactions with the hosts produced many amusing moments captured by the camera, and these moments had come to be the show's main draw; some had also turned into running gags.

The show ended its run with the airing of the final episode on 10 July 2005.

------------------------------ Our Review ------------------------------------------

* have a favourite game? i like the singing one where eric tsang had to say a word and they had to sing a song that has that word in the lyrics. also, the sushi game...and when they had to eat hot stuff, you had to guess whether it really is hot or not lol. oh oh i just remembered another singing game, where they have to guess what those people are singing. it's funny because they get old grannies or foreign people to sing lol.

* 1st season telephone relay game was quite funny. Eric Tsang started by saying the original script, and the guests have memorize what he said and relay the story to the other guests. After a few turns, the story gets deformed so badly, it's so funny. The most memorable event is how Rain Lau Yuk Chui remembered every word what Eric Tsang said...

* there was a female host too called Lan Sai, sadly she left the show after a few seasons, but came back as a guest. Everyone should remember her performance in eating a watermelon as fast as possible lol.

OH YES! ahaha she's funny. hey i posted the youtube eps with her as a host lol. it's the one in 2 parts (in my second post). but i think you saw that right?

it's quite annoying that they don't have episode numbers, i get confused with what episode is from what season. i have the super trio show 2001 special taped on VHS long ago lol. and i have the ep with dayo wong before he lost his funniness , haha. i love the part where he sings so bad ...and i love the singing part!
