Kim HyunJoong’s ‘Jagsal Chicken'

SS501 Kim HyunJoong’s chicken brand (trademark) application had become a talking point. Kim HyunJoong’s ‘Jagsal Chicken’, which he jointly invested with some of his friends, had completed its brand application process on 10-June.

Kim HyunJoong registered the brand ‘Jagsal Chicken’ with his own name at Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS). ‘Jagsal Chicken’ has 19 shops such as simple easting place as well as a restaurant, a bar for merry-making, etc. with 14 types of chicken such as spicy, smoked, barbeque, roasted all available in one place.

Before Kim HyunJoong debut as SS501, ran ‘Jagsal Chicken’ together with his childhood friends at Jamsil-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Kim HyunJoong was the exclusive model for ‘Jagsal Chicken’ during his activities as a singer. And all thanks to that, Kim HyunJoong got contacted as the exclusive model for ‘Hotsun Chicken’.

Kim HyunJoong revealed about this chicken restaurant that he runs through one variety program earlier this year. When the shop’s location was disclosed and fans began to make prank calls, which made the shop close down for awhile. However taking the opportunity during the temporary shut down, Kim HyunJoong got down into expand his business.

For Kim HyunJoong, through the registration of his trademark ‘Jagsal Chicken’ brand, the brand name can be protected from illegal use and at the same time makes it possible to go into franchising of this business.
