‘TOHOSHINKI THE LIVE 2009 a-nation/The Secret Code' will release in movie theaters

Video footage of Tohoshinki concerts, titled ‘TOHOSHINKI THE LIVE 2009 a-nation/The Secret Code', will be shown in movie theaters.

The ‘movie' will be distributed for one week from October 31st to November 6th in 19 theaters nationwide between Hokkaido and Kyushu. The film will mainly feature footage of their very successful Tokyo Dome concert. Also, a top 10 countdown of music videos chosen by fans will be included, along with the Tohoshinki live performance at ‘a-nation09 東京公演 [Tokyo Concert]' in Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium. The movie will last for 90 to 100 minutes.

Plans for this project first came into existence during the large-scale event ‘TOHOSHINKI PREMIUM SHOWCASE 2009 in OMOTESANDO' held from July 2nd to July 6th. A total of 350,000 fans came to the event, and they were asked to fill out a questionnaire. 90% of respondents wrote that they would like to see live footage of the group on big screens or in movie theaters. The 5 members in turn said they had wanted to show Japanese fans brand new footage of Tohoshinki as early as possible. So the project will be able to fulfill the needs of both the fans and the artists. The movie will be distributed by avex, and they are looking to attract about 50,000 fans in 7 days. The film may be shown in additional theaters.
