Harlem Yu will be releasing his Best + New Selection album called "18 Till Death (到死都要18岁)" on the 18th of December. Few days ago, when filming his hit song "Endless Unseen Longing (无尽透明的思念)"'s MV in Taipei, Harlem who has been in the industry for more than 20 years couldn't help but lament that time zooms by and expressed that he hopes that his son, little Harry, will not enter into the entertainment industry because "Its very tough. I'm worried he can't cope."
The director for "Endless Unseen Longing (无尽透明的思念)" MV Lai Wei Kang is an old friend of Harlem. 23 years ago, during Harlem's first album, the two of them started building up a great work collaboration and understanding. This MV uses animation to create the effect of the four seasons gradually changing and musicians coming and going. It emphasises the idea of "Time keeps continuing to flow, People keep continuing to move". Harlem reflected and lament that "Time is really scary. It doesn't stop. People come in and out of your life. Sometimes, I'll flip through my past 28 albums and look at the worker list. Some of them have been with me for mroe than 10 years while some disappeared."
Next year January, Harlem will be having a concert in Hong Kong and hopes to invite Eason Chan and Jacky Cheung to be his guest singers. Harlem's mother will also be bringing grandson little Harry to support him. When asked if he plans on getting little Harry to continue on with what he has been doing, Harlem immediately shook his head. "There are few singers in this industry that continues on till my age. Its difficult to switch career path though and alot of people will be brought out for comparison. Its very tough and I'm worried he won't be able to cope."
