Actress Moon Geun-young will make her theatrical debut next month. Entertainment group Aga Company announced that Moon will star in the play "Closer" at the Art One Theater in Seoul from early August.
"Closer" examines the issue of communication in love and relationships through the intertwined romantic relationships of four men and women. Written by English playwright Patrick Marber, it premiered in London in 1997 and has been performed in over 100 cities worldwide. In 2004 it was made into a film starring Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Clive Owen.
Moon will play Alice, the role performed by Portman in the movie. Aga Company said, "Moon signed on as she was attracted to the role of Alice after watching the film and play."
