Recently busy shooting for TVB sitcom Some Day, Aimee Chan plays an "angry youth" (TN: the term refers to young people who don't agree with the Chinese society and sought reform) and is a girl who greatly fights for the environment. For this role, she spent a lot of time on Youtube watching a college student at Hong Kong University (Chan Hau Man) clips to get advice. Aimee said: "The role is challenging, she is a young girl who is radical, similar to Chan Hau Man, so I went on Youtube to watch her clips."
Has Aimee participated in demonstrations to express her views? She said: "Before when I studying overseas, I participated in a protest, but it wasn't that extreme because I'm not really an extremist, it's enough to just have my views expressed."
This time for Some Day, Aimee is fortunate to have the opportunity to work with veteran Louise Lee and took the advantage to learn acting from her. Is there pressure working with a veteran? She said: "A little, Louise's acting is amazing, I always think about how I can do better too."
Speaking of her one month break to go back to Toronto visit her family, after re-charging, she returns full of energy. She said: "It's already been two years since I've been back in Toronto. This time, I went back to see my friends, some of them I haven't seen them for over 10 years, feels very relaxing."
