The sequel to 2004 smash hit TV series "Full House" will be created, according to related officials on Thursday.
An official with the production company told 10Asia over the phone that "Full House 2" will go into shoot starting next month while discussions on the casting is underway.
"We're positively looking into casting No Min-woo," the official added, although No's agency Core Contents Media said, "We're still in talks and nothing has been set."
No, who debuted as a singer in 2004, pursued an acting career two years later, making his name known more recently through TV series "Pasta" (MBC, 2010) and "Midas" (SBS, 2011).
Meanwhile, another official said that the sequel will be different from the first show in many ways. "Both will revolve around a house but the sequel won't continue from the original in any way."
Originally a 16 volume series by Won Soo-yeon, "Full House" was popular amongst Korean readers from when it started being published serially in 1994.
The drama version starring singer-actor Rain and actress Song Hye-kyo was a smash hit in Korea during its airing in 2004 and was sold to several Asian countries including China, Japan and the Philippines.
