Simon Yam Tat Wa's first film as a director, TALES FROM THE DARK (MAI LEI YEH) was selected for the Toronto Asian Film Festival. He joked that he has become addicting to directing. When viewers shrieked in fright he felt very satisfied. He is planning a police ghost film that he would like to start production in 2015, but he was worried that his wife Qi Qi would complain about him getting up in the middle of the night to come up with ideas. Yam Tat Wa also visited a senior center that provided services to the Chinese community as well as the Niagara Falls. Many Chinese and Korean tourists asked him for photos, and he himself took many beautiful photos for his collection.
