Bobby Au Yeung Suffers From Shingles On The Nose

TVB series Marriage Of Inconvenience <兩妻時代> begins airing shortly and a promotional event was held for the series yesterday. Cast members including Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華), Angela Tong (湯盈盈), Raymond Wong (黃浩然) and Astrid Chan (陳芷青) dressed up in wacky costumes for the event and Angela even donned a muscleman outfit, leaving her open to a lot of touching from the others, especially Bobby. Raymond wore some braids on his shaved head and Astrid wore a bikini over her clothes.

Bobby wore a face mask throughout the event and he explained that he was suffering from shingles on his nose and not just an outbreak of spots. He said that a scab had formed and he was recovering, so there should not be any scars remaining, but he has to watch what he eats. He laughed that it is quite rare for people to develop shingles on the face and added that when he was in America, his nose swelled up a lot and half of his face went numb.

After returning from the International Emmy awards presentation gala in New York last week, where he was presented with a medal for his nomination in the Best Actor category, Bobby has returned to work filming for TVB series Forensic Heroes 2 <法證先鋒2>. However, due to his infection, he has asked producer for some time off and he hopes to recover soon.

Asked what he would do if Marriage does well, Bobby said that he will take everyone for a meal if the ratings reach 35 points. Working opposite Angela and Toby Leung (梁靖琪) for this production, he praised Toby for being very hardworking despite her young age and smiled that they were both had very westernised attitudes, but were actually very traditional women.

There were reports that Angela visited Thailand to pay her respects to the four-faced buddha and spent HK$2000 on dancing girls for the buddha. She admitted this and said that she must return to thank the buddha for granting her wish and allowing her to be the leading role in this series. She also pointed out that she travelled with Margeret Chung (鍾麗淇) and Shirley Cheung (張玉珊) on this trip and said she is confident that the series will do well because Bobby is a lucky star.
