Faye Wong kicks off her 'Faye Wong 2010 Concert Tour' tonight at 8 p.m. at Beijing's Wukesong Culture and Sports Center. Faye fans have waited five years for her return to the stage. The day before her concert, Faye happily posted a photo of her second daughter, Li Yan through her micro blog to share with everyone. Using the words 'my little cutie pie' to address her youngest daughter, there were close to 6,000 people who commented on her entry. Faye ended off with 'See you tomorrow!' as a reference to her concert tonight. She seems very confident in making her return to the stage.
Tonight's concert will be split into five parts: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and 'Rebirth'. To accompany the five different themes, images of butterflies, blowing leaves, falling snow, ice villages and stars will be used to serve as the backdrop for the changing seasons. The highlight will be when Faye sings 'Sky'. She will be sitting on a swing high above the stage as she is flown across. There will also 3D technology in use at the concert. A sequence of winged horses will fly through the air as a single one 'lands' on her shoulder.
Husband Li Yapeng will be bringing both daughters to the concert. Carina Lau, Zhao Wei, Chen Kun and Chiu Li Kuang will also be attending the show. According to reports, Li Yapeng bought thousands of concert tickets to support his wife. While the highest priced tickets sold at 2,500 RMB, the prices have now rocketed upwards to 10,000 RMB. Everyone is greatly anticipating tonight's performance!
