Building a Web Page with Dreamweaver - Preview your work

Go back to Step 5 - Building the page containers

So far, you’ve been working in a Dreamweaver mode that puts dotted outlines around each of your divs so you can better see your page structure. Dreamweaver, however, lets you preview you how the page will look when in a browser. At the top of the document window, click on the “Live View” button. This lets you preview your work without actually launching a browser. Alternatively, you can open up your work in a browser by selecting one of them from the globe-looking drop down menu, also at the top of the document window.

Save your file.

To see what your page design will look like, click on the “Live View” button in the document window. Or, open your page in a web browser.

Go back to Step 1 - Set up a project folder on your computer
