Linda revealed that she has already asked TVB for three weeks vacation to return to Canada for Lunar New Year: "Since I entered the industry four years ago, I have not been home to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. (Will you bring a boyfriend to meet your parents?) I don't have a boyfriend, the pictures the reporters took earlier were of my friend. (Your mother urges you to get married?) Occasionally, because I am the youngest, she especially wants someone to take care of me."
Asked about Kate Tsui who will launch her album this year, Linda said: "I have not thought about whether this is competition or not, it's against my personality to contend. Victor Entertainment's Speedstar Records
Former EXILE vocalist Shunsuke Kiyokiba performed the final concert of his current tour on Sunday, his 29th birthday. During the show, he revealed to the crowd of roughly 3,000 fans that he is now signed with Victor Entertainment's Speedstar Records.

The 2008 Beijing Chinese Pop Music Awards ceremony was held today at the Beijing Workers' Stadium, Jackie Chan, Jay Chou, Eason Chan, Xu Wei, S.H.E. and others all attended. Today (Jan 12) is Lee Bo-young’s birthday! The actress turns 30-years-young and her fellow colleagues threw a surprise birthday party for her. She was delighted.

Bernice's book about dogs 我們是一家 (We are a family)
Launched last year, Bernice's book about dogs 我們是一家 (We are a family) has received good response. Using the identity of mother dog Bailey, this year she will launch a sequel 絕世好媽媽 (Out of this world Mommy). This new book is mainly about dog receipes, Bernice spent six months time preparing and collecting receipes and also regularly experimented with new ways of cooking at home. Since she has seven dogs, her beloved dogs have naturally become food critics: "If they only lick a few times then turn around and walk away, this means they have no interest, they are my guiding light."
Although the release of the new book has been postponed since Bernice was in Canada to film a movie, some of the new books are already on sale at airport bookstores overseas to test the response. Bernice said: "This time the book is to help raise funds for children under the age of six in Mainland China who have learning disabilities. I wish to know more about their living conditions and hope to visit them later."

Group Big Bang’s upcoming book ‘Shout to you in the world’ has received the spotlight.
From the 8th to 9th January, on online bookstores InterPark, Yes24 and KyoBoBook, there were already 2700, 2600 and 400 reservation sales for the book. The book is set to come out only on the 28th.
The book is about the dreams and experiences from trainee days until present of the 5 Big Bang members.
It includes the individual stories of each member: ‘Creative instinct GDragon‘, ‘Speed instinct TaeYang‘, ‘Firm instinct DaeSung‘, ‘Endurance instinct TOP‘ and ‘Top instinct SeungRi‘.
There will be several events for the release of the book, including ‘Big Bang and InterPark Bookstore and readers’ meeting’ on 8th February which will only invite 200 readers.

SHINee who started the fashion trend of teens is going to do activities as the new faces of Reebok.
Sports Brand Reebok Korea picked SHINee as the 2009 Reebok Model. SHINee has been getting love from fans in the 10's and 20's.
Reebok Korea's Chairman Lee NaYoung said "We are planning to remake the Retro Shoes 'Jam Collection' that was popular in the 80s an 90s. We are going to produce a new style that can appeal to the young generation through SHINee."

New KBS drama "More Beautiful Than a Flower"
This 5th, new KBS drama "More Beautiful Than a Flower" will be aired! This storyline is originally from a comic book which was highly popular.
This is a high fantasy romance genre which is very modern and highly fictional. It would reflect a dream that we might all have dreamed as teens.
The drama is set at a highly elitist high school which doesn't exist in real life. A laundry store owner's daughter Geum Jandi (Koo Hye-seon) is scouted to this school where the top 1% of the wealthy children get to go. She becomes a loner by the 4 boys who are known as F4 around the school. In the end, The female main character falls in love with one of the boys and become best friends with the F4.
This type of drama would be the third after "Princess Hours" and "Sassy Girl, Chun-hyang" which was highly fictional also.
This is a high fantasy romance genre which is very modern and highly fictional. It would reflect a dream that we might all have dreamed as teens.
The drama is set at a highly elitist high school which doesn't exist in real life. A laundry store owner's daughter Geum Jandi (Koo Hye-seon) is scouted to this school where the top 1% of the wealthy children get to go. She becomes a loner by the 4 boys who are known as F4 around the school. In the end, The female main character falls in love with one of the boys and become best friends with the F4.
This type of drama would be the third after "Princess Hours" and "Sassy Girl, Chun-hyang" which was highly fictional also.

Jade Solid Gold Award Ceremony
TVB's biological son Wong Cho Lam, surprisingly went home emptyhanded the night before last at Jade Solid Gold Award Ceremony. He said he was happy to have the opportunity to participate: "This proves the results are fair! (But you are TVB's biological son/親生仔!) Proves the awards have nothing to do with connections, this year's results are very good." Cho Lam declared that he will work hard this year to achieve good results and views favorably William Chan and Bosco Wong. As for the rumors prior to the ceremony that he would receive a newcomer award, he said: "This proves those are rumors! (Even Fiona Fung got an award?) Confirms results are fair, I always hear her songs at TVB."

Chik Chak Music Awards Ceremony on New Year
Yesterday, CRHK handed out the second report card of Hong Kong's music awards. The "Chik Chak Music Awards Ceremony" was held in Asia World Expo. Besides being the first time the awards ceremony was conducted in the afternoon, CRHK's "favorite" Kay Tse won 6 awards to become the biggest winner of the 3.5 hour award ceremony. At the same time, she is leading the count for the "4 Stations Media Award" with 11 awards. Kay's competition Joey Yung also had a strong showing at the awards, keeping her Gold award of the Female Singers. Joey had 2 awards. For the male singers, singer-songwriter Khalil Fong won the Male Singer and Singer-Songwriter Gold awards. In addition, Khalil won the Composer award and a Top 10 Gold Song award. In total, Khalil won 4 awards, beating Eason Chan, who had 3 awards.
Despite some singers expecting no awards, they still attended the ceremony to show their support. There were quite a few rumored and real couples in attendance. While Kay won 6 awards, husband Louis Cheung went home empty-handed. For Khalil, rumored girlfriend Fiona Sit sat the whole night without an award, but was still happily clapping for Khalil. While Joey kept her Gold award, good friend Denise Ho did not get an award. Denise, who has always been a CRHK favorite, lost to Kay and the Bronze Female Singer award to Ivana Wong, who is from the same company.

Tavia Yeung attended a new years event and expressed that she hopes this new year she'll find her Mr. Right. Asked if her Mr. Right needs to be wealthy?
