Yuki Amami (42) is confirmed to be starring in a new drama series this summer, tentatively titled "GOLD." The show is a home drama penned by screenwriter Shinji Nojima.
Amami plays Yuri Saotome, a charismatic beautician who runs a major sports gym and aesthetic salon. Her older brother died in an accident just before his opportunity to achieve a gold medal at the Olympics, so she chose to marry a wrestling gold medalist. After giving birth to four children, she and her husband broke off their marriage, leaving Yuri to raise the kids by herself. With their excellent genes, three of them have been raised as possible candidates for the next Olympic games.
"GOLD" will be broadcast by Fuji TV on Thursday nights at 10:00pm, starting this July.

Group Super Junior is continuing its reputation as the strongest in album sales.
After releasing the 4th album , Super Junior is holding on to its spot at number 1 in album charts. Since the 14th, Super Junior has stayed on top at the album counting site Hanteo Information system’s day chart. On 14th, they showed their power by selling 6,000 in a day. Super Junior’s 4th album sales numbers are the fastest and the most biggest numbers among singers this year.
Super Junior’s management company SM Entertainment said, “Because the pre-sale orders reached 200000, we had foreseen it somewhat. With international fans’ order sales continuously rising, we believe that the album sales will rise more as the promotion activity continues.”

During filming of CTS drama ‘Calling For Love’, female lead Charlene Choi (Ah Sa)’s married status had not yet been exposed but she had many kiss scenes in the drama with male lead Mike He. Ah Sa admitted that Mike’s kissing skills successfully electrified her, and she revealed that she “very quickly entered into the world of love.”

"2010 TVB Most Popular Commercial Awards Ceremony" was filming yesterday. hotCha , Sandy Lau, Christine Kuo, and Matthew Ko were performing guests. A deep emotional prince in front of the camera, Zai Zai Vic Zhou becomes an otaku when he reaches home. Fans rarely see this side of him but the film "Love You Ten Thousand Years" will scoop out Zai Zai's decadent and sloppy appearance, to give a surprise to fans.
Due to scheduling issues this year, Zai Zai narrowly missed being in the movies "Black & White" and "Killer Ouyang Penzai." This makes the soon-to-be released August movie "Love You Ten Thousand Years" being paid particular attention. This local Taiwan romance comedy film directed by Japanese director Toyo Kitamura, will let Zaizai do a turnaround, challenging the role of a decadent rock band lead singer, and he even has to use his own unique singing style to belt out the song "Love You Ten Thousand Years" which has previously been sung by Wynners, Five Tigers, Wu Bai and Li Yi Chun!
Prior to shooting the movie, director Toyo Kitamura had a headache thinking of how to change Zai Zai from his handsome appearance to a decadent band member. Then unexpectedly, he saw Zai Zai with disheveled hair and unshaven face walking towards him, and Toyo Kitumura happily shouted out "That's the look!" Manager Zhi Xiang Li was alarmed and worried that fans cannot accept this Zaizai who do not care about his appearance. But Zaizai just said, be calm,"They are only seeing my original (real-life) self."
Toyo Kitamura used his 13 years observation of Taiwan's cultural phenomenon and filmed it into a funny plot. Zai Zai will sing as he plays the guitar and even have to dance while wearing a "vulgar (coarse) looking" suit. Film producer Peggy Chiao could not help but praise him, that he has the form to be "Tony Leung's successor ".

YG Entertainment’s singers like Big Bang and 2NE1 will not participate in this year’s 2010 Dream Concert.
The 2010 Dream Concert will be helding coming 22nd May in Seoul World Cup Stadium will the participation from various singers like Rain, Lee Hyori, So Nyeo Shi Dae, Super Junior, 2PM etc. But we will not see Big Bang and 2NE1.
Big Bang GDragon will be performing as guest performance for Flo Rida’s concert performance in Korea that day, while 2NE1 will not have any special activities this year – which explain their no-show for the concert.
An official from the organiser of the concert Korean Entertainment Production Association voiced on the 12th, “It’s a matter of decisions made by YG Ent internally, there is no special problem. Even though we hope to have many artiste participate for this concert, it is sad that these singers will not participate this year.”
Meanwhile, WonderGirls and SS501 will also be performing on Dream Concert 2010 to meet with fans after so long.

Jihen upcoming live DVD
Rock/Pop band Tokyo Jihen have announced the upcoming release of a live DVD entitled Ultra C for August.
Tokyo Jihen (who are also known as Tokyo Incidents) is the side project of well-known popular singer Sheena Ringo. The group recently released their fourth studio album Sports in February, which peaked at #1 on the Oricon. Following the release of Sports, Tokyo Jihen embarked on their first national tour in two-and-a-half years entitled "Tokyo Jihen live tour 2010 Ultra C". The tour, which began on March 26th at the Kawaguchi Sougou Bunka Centre, will conclude on May 23rd at the Kurashiki Shimin Kaikan.
Further details of Ultra C including a release date, tracklist etc. will be announced via the band's official website in the near future.

For hyde, the person he is most grateful for is a man, who he never met. During his time in middle school, hyde and a friend had been doing a bike race and suddenly he fell into some kind of pit. At that time, he lost his consciousness as well as in a dangerous state that his arm as well as his neck had been broken. According to hyde, an unknown man took him in his car until the ambulance arrived. He was taken to the hospital, where the surgery was done, but he only remembers things from after the surgery in the hospital bed.
However, on the mysterious man, he said "I didn't really have the chance to look for him, so I always wonder about it", still not knowing until now, who it was. The aftereffects of the accident has been taken on until now, hyde said. "There is still something wrong with the sensitive nerves around the eyes and lips. Even now I can't put any strength into my left arm."

Upcoming film "Dreams Come True"
Members of Korean idol group Super Junior will be singing the main theme song for upcoming sports film tentatively titled "Dreams Come True," according to its producer on Wednesday.
CJ Entertainment stated in a press release that Super Junior members Shindong, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Yesung and Sungmin had prepared the song since its planning stages a year ago.
"The fresh and vibrant image these Super Junior members give off due to their various activities on variety programs, radio shows and musicals, goes well with the title song and theme of the movie," a representative from CJ was quoted as saying.
"Dreams," starring Korean actors Lee Sung-jae, Kang Sung-jin, Yoo Tae-woong and Lee Sun-ho, is about how North Korean and South Korean soldiers near the demilitarized zone separating the two countries come together for their love of soccer.
The movie, a comical drama helmed by Kye Yoon-shik, is set to premiere on May 27 in Korea.

CJ Entertainment stated in a press release that Super Junior members Shindong, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Yesung and Sungmin had prepared the song since its planning stages a year ago.
"The fresh and vibrant image these Super Junior members give off due to their various activities on variety programs, radio shows and musicals, goes well with the title song and theme of the movie," a representative from CJ was quoted as saying.

New movie "My Back Page"
Satoshi Tsumabuki (29) and Kenichi Matsuyama (25) will co-star in a new movie from director Nobuhiro Yamashita ("Linda Linda Linda," "Tennen Kokekko").
Titled "My Back Page," the story is set around the time of the 1969 student protests at Tokyo University. It is based on the experiences of critic Saburo Kawamoto, who was a newspaper reporter at the time of the protests. Tsumabuki will play a journalist named Sawada, while Matsuyama will play a left-wing student named Umeyama.

Joey also expressed that she liked her mountain bandit costume because the costume is adapted from western film: "I really like it. There is so many fighting scenes that are quite challenging. Upcoming action TV series "Athena"
orean singer-actor Kim Hyun-joong is in talks to appear in the upcoming action TV series "Athena," the spin-off to last year's hit blockbuster drama "IRIS," according to the show's producer Taewon Entertainment on Tuesday.
"Kim is a strong candidate for the drama but we are currently in talks with his agency and nothing has been set as of now," a representative from Taewon told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.
An official at Kim's agency DSP Entertainment expressed more optimism on behalf of the 23-year-old star. "We can't say anything is certain but Kim has shown great interest in "Athena" and it is true that he wants to take the role."
Taewon is eyeing the latter half of this year for the airing of "Athena," about terrorist acts and threats against the Korean Peninsula and the world.
It will go into production starting in June in Italy and Switzerland and continue on into six other countries including Singapore and New Zealand.

Singer Se7en will have his comeback after 3 years this coming July in Korea.
A YG Entertainment representative told Newsen on 11th May, “Se7en is currently preparing for the new album to be released in July.”

New movie "Kamisama Help!"
Kazuki Kato (25) will take on a new starring movie role in the comedy "Kamisama Help!," directed by Shota Sasaki. This will effectively be his first film lead. He had originally starred in Eiji Uchida's "Dakara Oretachi wa, Asa wo Matteita" that was scheduled for release this past February, but the movie was canned after co-actor Manabu Oshio (32) was arrested for drugs last year.
"Kamisama Help!" takes place at a closed school where a mass murder occurred 25 years earlier. Kato plays both a teacher and a "horror planner." He will also sing the film's theme song, a cover of the 1985 hit "Kamisama Help!" by the band The Checkers.

Actress Yuko Takeuchi (30) will take on her first role as a police detective in a Fuji TV drama special later this year, titled "Strawberry Night."
"Strawberry Night" is an adaptation of Tetsuya Honda's bestselling mystery of the same name. The book, published in 2006, has sold 600,000 copies so far.
Takeuchi plays the protagonist, Reiko Himekawa, a young detective who has quickly risen through the ranks to become a member of the first investigative division. While trying to solve a mysterious murder, she comes across the keyword "Strawberry Night," and she must decipher its meaning in order to crack the case.

New series "Rosy Business 2"

C.N Blue new album release date
Even though previously, the new album release date for C.N Blue has been delayed due to vocalist Jung YongHwa being diagnosed with vocal cord nodules, it has been announced that the group’s album release will resume as planned initially.
A FNC Music rep revealed, “During the last stage of their new album preparation, Jung YongHwa was diagnosed with vocal code nodules. Fortunately, he recovered faster than expected and the doctor told us he could sing again.”
So with that, the group will release their new album on 19th May, it will include 10 songs with 1 song to be revealed online before the official release.

Xiao Xiao Bin is going to school! It's pushed forward a year earlier than originally planned. This summer he is going to take junior kindergarten classes. His little brother Mini Bin will go to school as well, starting from lower kindergarten classes.

Jacky Cheung Private Corner Mini-Concert
Day before yesterday, Jacky Cheung held his mini-concert at Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Jockey Auditorium. After he came out on stage, Jacky jokingly told the audience: “Since this is a ‘mini’ concert, hope you don’t expect it to be long.”

SNSD will be appearing on the April 30th broadcast of Music Bank and the May 1st broadcast of Inkigayo.
The April 30th live stage on Music Bank will be their last live broadcast, and the May 1st broadcast of Inkigayo will be their last recorded broadcast.
SNSD performed ‘Oh!‘ and ‘Run Devil Run‘ one last time on their goodbye stage.
Thanks to ‘Oh!‘, the cheerful song that captured the hearts of oppas everywhere, and ‘Run Devil Run‘, the charisma overloaded Black Soshi song, SNSD has gotten tons of love and have revealed that they will work harder to return with a more mature image.
On the 30th, Newsen was able to get in contact with a SM Entertainment representative via telephone and held a phone interview. The representative stated that: “SNSD will be ending their activities for Oh! and Run Devil Run on the 1st. However, the SNSD members are currently active individually, appearing on variety shows such as ‘We Got Married’, ‘Family Outing 2′, ‘Invincible Youth’, and musicals as well. Please await SNSD’s more mature image.”
Meanwhile, the girls, also recently celebrated a very special occasion for all 9 of them! The 1,000th day since their debut!
The girls have also received attention for sending a word of thanks to all the fans who celebrated with them!
