G-Dragon earlier released his “Shine A Light: Live Concert Album” which consisted of new remixes and a new song featuring American hip-hop artist “Flo-Rida“.
Although the album consists of no actual new songs seeing as most of them are just remixes or the ‘live concert’ versions of them, it was still able to grab the #1 spot as soon as it was released with a total of 16 songs and a Bonus CD, both on Daily Album Charts and Real-time Album Charts.
This album beat out albums from other artists that actually contained new songs such as After Shool’s ‘Bang’ and Epik High’s ‘Epilogue’. Proving once again his impact on the k-pop scene and it’s sales. What is even better is that the profits of the selling of this album will all go to charity, and if it’s at number 1 then it must mean that it is selling lots of copies that will further help the poor and the ones in need.

Theme for this year " Through Live. Connecting Asia "
Many top-notch Asean artists will gather in 「MTV LIVE 05.30.10」 on May 30,2010 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo.
"MTV LIVE" is the most popular live event that has been held by MTV JAPAN since 2008.
The event theme this year is "Through Live. Connecting Asia" and features four acts from Japan along side with the leading Asean acts in the music scene.
Starting with the most popular dance vocal group that sweeps all 2009 best newcomer awards, BIGBANG. Soul and R&B singer, JAY'ED, Vanness from F4 on his solo career and most popular group both in Japan and Asia, w-inds.
The ticket will go on pre-sale for the artists' Fan Club members only on Thursday April 1 and to the public on Thursday April 8.

Gillian Chung Autograph session
Gillian Chung held her solo EP "Everyone Bounce" Autograph session which won a lot of fans support. Ng Yu presented a moutain bike for Gillian to tell her to "keep moving forward" while Mani gave her a feul pump to tell her that everyone in the company is cheering on for her. During the celebration, Gillian sang, dance, played games w/ the fans and also took the opportunity to shout out for Twins' concert that will be held in April. The fans were screaming for enthusiasm. Gillian happily said that she has confidence and said "I would like to thank the fans for the support". Gillian also mentioned that she was a bit worried before, and never thought so many fans would show up for her.
When asking about the combining of albums, Gillian mentioned that she did not know until she read the news. Gillian then said that they only had a short amount of time to release a Twins' album and her own solo EP and many fans requested for a Twins' album. Gillian said that she was away for two months and the EP was postponed for two months, so it's a 2 for 1 special for the fans. Then Gillian said that she has the confidence to release albums in the future.

Tsuki no Koibito (Moon Lovers) airing in April
Starring Kimura Takuya, the new Fuji TV Getsu 9 drama Tsuki no Koibito (Moon Lovers) will begin airing in April. Aside from Kimura as the male lead, his leading ladies include actresses Shinohara Ryoko and Kitagawa Keiko, as well as Taiwan's number one model, Lin Chi-ling. Lately with all the hype, many predict the drama will reach over 20% in ratings. Likewise, it has also attracted many sponsors. However, Fuji TV is not expected to make a huge profit from the production, as the costs for all the lead actors alone will take a huge portion of their budget.
Some critics have pointed out that Fuji TV had to go through a lot of trouble to get all the actors onboard for the drama. It was rumoured that Shinohara did not want to work with Kimura on the drama initially. However, she changed her mind when Fuji TV agreed to let her film a sequel and movie to her drama Unfair, as well as allowing her husband, Ichimura Masachika, to take part in a new production. As for Kitagawa, her requirements include taking the female lead for this Winter's Getsu 9 drama, as well as next Spring's Thursday night 10pm drama. While Lin Chi-ling does not have any requests, her living costs alone will add another dent to the budget, as Fuji TV will have to cover her cost of living during the filming period. These costs are estimated to be around 40 million yen.

New TV drama “Personal Taste”
Actor Lee Min Ho, who came back to dramas after a one-year break following the KBS TV drama “Boys Over Flowers,” revealed his ambition of obtaining a "favorable evaluation for splendid acting" on his new MBC TV drama “Personal Taste,” which will broadcast its first episode on March 31.
In the production presentation of “Personal Taste” held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on March 25, Lee said, “I have distressed myself about how to play the character in the drama. I feel pressure because I want to be praised for good acting by viewers.”
The drama “Personal Taste” tells exhilarating stories about two characters. An easygoing woman, Park Gae In (Sohn Ye Jin), wants to have a gay male friend, and a charismatic man, Jeon Jin Ho (Lee Min Ho) is mistaken by her to be a gay man. These two create entertaining stories while they are living together.
Lee explained the character he plays: “He is a competent architect and when it comes to work, he always aims for perfection, so much so as to be regarded as a cold-hearted person. He does not want to be interrupted nor to interrupt others.“
Jeon Jin Ho is similar to Goo Jun Pyo, which is the character he played in his previous drama “Boys Over Flowers,” in that he is also a charismatic character. Lee Min Ho continued, “It is true that the two characters have similarities, but I do not care too much to differentiate this character with that of Goo Jun Pyo. I have rather concentrated on making a character who is very much faithful to the script. If I have to compare the character to Goo Jun Pyo, Jeon Jin Ho is a mature and thoughtful person and has a pride in his work as a professional.”
Asked about his one year break, he answered, “I had a tight schedule at home and abroad after the drama ‘Boys Over Flowers,’ so I actually took a break only for three months. During the break, I had seriously agonized about how to make a comeback to dramas, and with what kind of image. In the end, I decided to play a pleasant character in a drama, since I am still young, and chose ‘Personal Taste’ as my next drama.”
Lee Min Ho entered stardom with “Boys Over Flowers,” so it is natural that he feels stress about the viewer ratings for “Personal Taste” which has to compete with other outstanding dramas such as “Cinderella’s Stepsister (KBS)” and “Prosecutor Princess (SBS)”, which will air its first episode on the same day.
Lee Min Ho commented about the viewer ratings: “Honestly, I cannot afford to care about other competitors because I am only concentrating on playing my role in the drama. But, it would be great if the ratings came to around 18 percent for the first episode. Then, if the viewer ratings increased by one percent for each episode, the ratings for the final episode would be around 34 percent, since our drama has a total of 16 episodes for the series.”

Rock band GLAY its song "Apologize"
Rock band GLAY has announced that its song "Apologize" will be available for free as a chaku-uta full download, for a limited time next month. Although that strategy has been used before to promote newer artists, it is rare for a top-selling artist like GLAY to take that approach.
GLAY has been performing "Apologize" in their concerts since their nationwide tour last fall, but a recorded version was not available before. The band decided to offer the song for free as an expression of gratitude to their fans. Leader TAKURO said that he also hopes the move will help attract new fans, comparing it to the band's early days when they handed out free demo tapes at live houses.
There have been cases where artists thank fans by making a regular chaku-uta download (not the full song) free, but GLAY is going all the way. Singer Hikaru Utada (27) did a similar promotion where she made a new song available for free for users of the mobile phone brand au, but GLAY's song will be open to all users regardless of their phone brand. Users will also be able to send the song as a "gift" to others.

Eason Chan 8th concert
Eason Chan was performing his 8th concert the other night. He was dressed in black. It was also Ellen's (member of @17) birthday that day. Eason led the audience to sing happy birthday and Eman Lam (the other @ 17 member) brought out a birthday cake to surprise her. Eman said when she first met Ellen, she was only 14. She is 24 now, that means they have know each other for 10 years. Eason and @17 than sang "The Best is Yet to come" together.
Eason went back and changed his costume to white. He played Tai Chi as well as playing the guitar at the same time. Eason told the audience "Andy Lau plays pipa in style." He than sang Andy Lau's classic "As Time Goes By" (一起走過的日子) in a comedy version. Some of the lyrics have been changed, such as "have me, have love, have your mom have your dad ...." (有我有情有你阿媽有你老豆...) Eason said that version was written by Eric Tsang and Andrew Lam.

Tamaki Hiroshi concert last night
Tamaki Hiroshi held his concert last night at the Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Kowloon Bay. As he had some free time in the afternoon, he accepted interviews from the press, however he arrived about an hour late. Tamaki revealed during the interview that he will be singing and playing the guitar at the concert. He will also be speaking a few lines in Cantonese to introduce himself. At the end of the show, there will be a handshake event to get up close and personal with his fans. As this is already his fourth/fifth time in HK, reporters asked him on his impressions of the ladies here. Tamaki replied: "HK women and Japanese women are quite similar. Both have their charms."
While on the topic of HK artistes, Tamaki said: "If there is a chance I would like to work with Stephen Chow. I really enjoy his films, especially comedies." Tamaki appeared to have lost a lot of weight recently. He explained that he was indeed heavier before, but he started going to the gym two months prior to his concert to get back in shape. Tamaki also mentioned he spent time exploring the area close to his hotel and had a chance to eat Chinese food. He hopes to have hot pot after his concert to celebrate. When asked when he'll be leaving HK? He says he still has to attend a fan meet today.

Upcoming movie "Future X Cops"
Barbie Xu (Da S) attended a wax figurine unveiling for her upcoming movie "Future X Cops" in Hong Kong yesterday, and the real Da S couldn't stop looking at the "fake" her. "It does look like me at some angles, some angles are a bit chubbier. The chin, teeth and nose are very similar, looking at my own figure so close is quite frightening." Asked if the body measurements are the same as the real person, she laughed. "They have added some stuff at the front." As for the conservative clothed figurine, which some asked if it would be a waste of her great body, Da S said that the figurine could change clothing and hair at any time. She continued to say that maybe in the future, she could bring a sexy low cut evening gown to switch, and had already taken pictures of the wax figure for her family members to compare, and said "I will bring them to Hong Kong to look at the exhibit when I have an opportunity."
Tamaki Hiroshi concert in Hong Kong
Japanese singer/actor Tamaki Hiroshi will be holding his Hong Kong concert this Saturday. He will be flying to Hong Kong tomorrow to rehearse for the show. He has expressed he's excited to meet with his HK fans again. According to concert organizers, there has been many calls lately from fans eager to purchase Tamaki's concert goods. In order to maintain a similar setup to Japanese concerts, they will be selling his con goods early at 4pm, prior to the start of the show. Limited edition t-shirts, towels, photo albums, calendars, and other items will be on sale then.
"Death Game Park" new mobile drama series
BeeTV will broadcast a new mobile drama series titled "Death Game Park," featuring tokusatsu stars Tori Matsuzaka (21) and Masahiro Inoue (21). Hello! Project artist Erina Mano (18) has been cast as the heroine.
"Death Game Park" is an action thriller reminiscent of Kinji Fukasaku's "Battle Royale." A group of young adults have been forced to participate in a "death game" for an unknown purpose. Unable to call for help, they have to muster their strength in order to survive and find a way to escape.

New romantic comedy "Cyrano Agency"
Korean actress Park Shin-hye has joined the cast of new romantic comedy "Cyrano Agency," according to her agency Ava Entertainment on Thursday.
The movie took its motif from French picture "Cyrano de Bergerac" helmed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau and starring French actor Gerard Depardieu.

Takuya Kimura's upcoming drama
More details about Takuya Kimura's upcoming drama series were revealed on Tuesday. Titled "Tsuki no Koibito ~Moon Lovers~," the drama will air in Fuji TV's Monday 9:00pm time slot this spring, though the starting broadcast date has not yet been determined.
As reported earlier this month, the drama has Kimura (37) playing the president of an interior design company. It is described as his first real romance series since "Beautiful Life" in 2000, but he will have not one, but three female co-stars.
Leading the list of actresses is Ryoko Shinohara (36), cast as a capable interior designer who works with Kimura. The complicated relationship between the two characters goes back to their days as students together. Kimura and Shinohara previously acted together in the 1997 series "Gift."
Next is Taiwanese star Lin Chi-ling (35), who appeared in the "Red Cliff" movies. This will be her first time in a Japanese drama. She plays a Chinese woman whom Kimura encounters.

‘World Star’ Rain (28) will be having his comeback. After his 5th album ‘Rainisim’ released in October 2008, it will be his singer comeback after 18 months.
And the comeback code will be sexy this time. He will put a stop with all the idols advocating concepts like ‘beastly-dol’ or ’sexy-dol’. Ahead of the comback, we have already seen the teaser video released on 23rd March. In the teaser, we can see Rain showing off his masculinity in the new concept.

Singer actor Rain will be playing a couple with actress Han YeSeul in the MV for his upcoming new song.
According to JTunes Entertainment rep, “He will be working with Han YeSeul for the MV fo his special album ‘Back To The Basic’ which will be released on 1st April.” They also released a still photo to the MV showing Rain giving Han YeSeul a back hug.
The reason for Rain’s collaboration for Han YeSeul is due to the recommendation by writer Lee KyungHee who wrote the dramas ‘SangDoo Ah Let’s Go to School’ and ‘A Love To Kill’. Writer Lee KyungHee also recommended Han YeSeul for recent drama ‘Why It Snow on Christmas’.

Congratulations to Nicholas Tse
Nicholas Tse who has won the best supporting actor in "4th Asian Film Awards Presentation Ceremony" last night. He acted in the film "October Rising-Bodyguards And Assassins" directed by Teddy Chen. When receiving the award, Nicholas publicly expressed his love for his wife Cecilia by saying "I have to thank my wife, I have been busy working and was hardly at home. She never complained, I love you baby!" Nicholas went on to say as he didn't have his cell phone with his, he couldn't call her to break the good news. He said "I didn't think I would win an award. I just wanted to come along and sit for 3 hours." This is Nicholas's third award, his previous award was New Comer's Award and Golden Rooster Award. His wife is expecting their second child any time now. The reporter asked if the baby brings him good luck? He replied "The baby is not born yet, it is not him."
S.H.E new album photoshoot
Yesterday S.H.E was doing a photoshoot to publicize for their latest album. The trio has a breakthrough and wore heels between 7cm to 20cm, depending on their costume changes. Selina exudes the femininity of a matured young woman; Hebe attempts to use her eyes to electrify, while Ella strikes many alluring and challenging poses.
Before the camera, S.H.E appeared ever perfect. But off-screen, they had to bear with a fair amount of hardships and difficulties. Amongst the trio, only Selina wear heels frequently and is attracted to the pretty stiletto heels. Hebe belonged to the intermediate group of heels-wearers and only started to wear them more often in recent years. On the other hand, Ella is amongst the group of beginner heels-wearers and rarely wears heels to walk or dance. Thus, when Ella finished changing into her designated outfit and the super stiletto heels to walk out of the dressing room, she accidentally slipped on the slippery door mat and fell forward. She even hit her forehead against the wall with a loud “thup”. The loud sound gave all members of the crew a fright.
Selina said, “This album will showcase our transformation from girls to young women. And one of the most significant changes would be the wearing of heels. Just like when we were young and wanted to grow up quickly, we would secretly put on our mothers’ heels. In a girl’s heart, putting on a pair of heels would symbolize the transformation into young women.” Hebe added, “In the past, I do not enjoy wearing heels as much. But I’ve grown accustomed to it through work, and now I feel that my proportions looked better when I wear heels.”
On the other hand, Ella shared, “I would probably wear heels only if need be during work. Thus being in heels is a big challenge for me. Especially during the concert whereby I have to dance in heels, it is really very tough. I remembered during last year’s [Love as One] concert, I wore heels to rehearse for a dance. After that my feet was in so bad pain and the company has to custom-made another pair of footwear for me.” Having been in heels for a full day of work, the trio ended up with soreness in their upper and lower backs and chorused, “This is the price to pay for looking trendy.”

News : "Let the bullets fly"
After much publicity of the film "Let the bullets fly" was announced in Cannes Film Festival last October, the film production have been working very low fey. The shooting of the film were in secret location, from the outskirts of Beijing to Guangdong. The three leading actors including Jiang Wen and Chow Yat Fat have not been seen in public since the launch of the film. However, out of the blue, the three made a rare appearance yesterday. Jiang Wen, who plays the role as a bandit was dressed in a blue national army uniform. Chow Yan Fat was wearing a suit, holding a red and white flowers, looking very smart indeed. Coming back as ‘Black Soshi’ So Nyeo Shi Dae is currently up dominating various music charts at the #1 spot with the title song ‘Run Devil Run’ for their 2nd repackaged album.
After the song is first revealed on 17th March, it is currently up #1 on Bugs, Dosirak, Soribada, Melon music charts. It is expected it will be another fever after their previous hit ‘Oh!’.

Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) disclosed yesterday that she and Ronald Cheng have ended their 6 years love affairs. This week, YouTube singing sensation Charice Pempengco's second single off her first album Pyramid got its official U.S. mainstream radio release.
But even before the major U.S. radio airplay, "Pyramid," the single, has been a favorite among the digitally downloaded songs from iTunes and other digital download stores on the Internet. The remix version was released on iTunes on February 23 this year, while the album version—which is currently enjoying airplay among major U.S. radio stations—was released on March 2, the same day the official music video of this song was released.

Arashi new single "Troublemaker"
Japanese pop group Arashi will be releasing their new single "Troublemaker" in Korea today, according to agency SM Entertainment on Wednesday.
SM said in a press release that "Troublemaker" will be released in Korea in two versions; a regular CD and a limited edition composed of a CD and DVD.
The DVD will contain the music video for "Troublemaker" as well as making-the-video footage while the CD will feature an additional track titled "One More Step."
"Troublemaker", the group's latest single released in Japan earlier this month, sold over 540,000 copies in its first week to top Oricon's weekly single chart.
The pop track was also featured in popular Japanese television series, "Tokujo Kobachi!!", which starred one of the group's member Sakurai Sho.
Another track on the record will be "Shake It Now", which was used as the theme song for several Japanese television programs as well as for the recent 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.

Show Luo (Xiao Zhu) two concerts in Hong Kong
Show Luo (Xiao Zhu) plans to hold two concerts in Hong Kong, on April 30th and May 1st. Credit card ticket pre-orders have already opened since March 15. Yesterday, Oriental Daily received a letter of complaint from a writer calling themself "Show Luo's HK Fan", accusing Show's company Golden Typhoon Entertainment of ignoring fans' feelings and of running a "black box" business when they failed to notify fans of Show's additional show on May 2nd. Golden Typhoon Entertainment's rep responded accordingly. "We just found out at noon after discussing it with Show's Taiwan manager, and notified the early bird credit card orders, so it's not a closed market business that we're running. New album ‘With All My Heart’
A cafe site was set up in January on a portal site in January named ‘Album for JaeBum’ and fans who had joined had gone through the process of making songs and recording to produce the album for JaeBum.
The recording was done on 27th February and coming 27th March, the album ‘With All My Heart’ will be released. The day will also be Park JaeBum’s 200th day since he left Korea.
There will be 3 songs included in the album like ‘To You’, ‘You are my heart’ and ‘A step at a time’. There will be 100 copies of the album sold.
Meanwhile, it was announced in late February by JYE Entertainment that JaeBum will leave the group permanently.
The recording was done on 27th February and coming 27th March, the album ‘With All My Heart’ will be released. The day will also be Park JaeBum’s 200th day since he left Korea.
There will be 3 songs included in the album like ‘To You’, ‘You are my heart’ and ‘A step at a time’. There will be 100 copies of the album sold.
Meanwhile, it was announced in late February by JYE Entertainment that JaeBum will leave the group permanently.
TBS drama "Tokujo Kabachi"
Sakurai Sho (28) of Arashi is starring in the TBS drama "Tokujo Kabachi!!" (Sundays at 9PM) and will be joined by Leader Ohno Satoshi (29) in the last episode (airing the 21st). In between filming takes on their regular program the other day, Ohno was dilligently practicing his lines with his close friend, Ninomiya Kazunari (26). The first round of practices went fine. It pretty much became an "Arashi friend performance"*
The story is about a young man with a strong sense of justice who uses the law to help the weak. In the last episode, Tamura (played by Sakurai) is introduced to and illegally joins forces with an "introduction shop"* with the suspicious "fellow lawyer," Inugami (Sakaguchi Kenji), who preys upon people with a lot of debt, and later stands up to him. Tamura's trust gained, Inugami investigates a lawyer named Honda (played by Satoshi) who works in the bar association's discipline department.
In between takes while filming Arashi's regular show, Ohno was zealously practicing his lines. Ninomiya, who appeared in "Letters from Iwo Jima" (2006), is very close friends with Ohno and the two have even formed a concert unit called "Ohmiya SK." Ohno, script in hand and looking concerned about his job, will play a villainous "corrupt lawyer." Although there were a great number of difficult technical terms, it went fine in one take. Ohno received a round of heartfelt applause on the set.
"Sho's got a lot of really hard lines like that; I think that's amazing," Ohno said admiringly. Laughingly, he went on, "Good thing I'm not the lead!"
His hair was temporarily sprayed black for this filming, but immediately following washed it out with a smile, returning to the blonde for his role as Kaibutsu-kun.

Korean actor Lee Min-ho has warned fans of a fake Twitter account opened up under his name, according to his agency Starhaus Entertainment.
"What people currently know as Lee Min-ho's Twitter is a fake account," said an official at Starhaus on Friday, adding that they are preparing countermeasures to protect the actor's fans.
Lee currently has about 70,000 followers under his account -- more than any other Korean celebrity in the country.
An account can be opened with just an email address and ID on Twitter, a popular U.S.-based online social networking and microblogging service.

Popular drama "Trick"
The highly popular drama franchise "Trick" is already getting a third movie on May 8 and a spinoff series starting on April 9, but it was revealed on Sunday that it is also getting a new 2-hour special episode, titled "Trick Shinsaku Special 2."
The first "Trick Shinsaku Special" aired in November 2005. Although the new episode has not been given a broadcast date yet, it is expected to air this spring. Starring the combo of Yukie Nakama (30) and Hiroshi Abe (45), the story this time is set in a village where an ancient custom still remains, and a mysterious lullaby seems to bring misfortune.

The band Love Psychedelico, which is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its debut this year, has been chosen to provide two theme songs for the Fuji TV drama series "Zettai Reido."
As was revealed earlier this month, "Zettai Reido" stars Aya Ueto (24) in her first role as a police detective. The series is set to premiere on April 13.

1st Japanese album titled “Thank You” from C.N Blue
Band C.N Blue will release their 1st Japanese album titled “Thank You” this coming March 20,2010 in Shibuya’s Club Quattro. The place will be open from 17.00 local time whilst the event will start from 18.00 local time. The album will cost the fans around 3000 yen (in tax) as their official Japanese site wrote.

Coming back with her 4th album the end of this month, it has been known that the recording work and the choreography for Lee Hyori’s comeback title song are completed.
Much interests will be in for how the veteran’s prowess will show amidst the promotional period for the girlgroups like So Nyeo Shi Dae, KARA and T-ara.
It is also revealed that Lee Hyori will do hiphop for her 4th album. The title song is an up-tempo dance song. But the level of completeness for the hiphop song is expected to be high. The hidden card to differentiate from the girlgroups will be the factor of doing hiphop genre. Her close friends like Leessang and DoubleK who are hiphop veterans are known to have shown support and help for this album.

Rainie Yang is about to step onto the Taipei Arena stage for the first time! The concert organisers have been racking their heads thinking of the best show-opener, and have decided to bring in 14 'fog machines' specially from overseas, to create a 3D romantic & fantasy feeling. Just the 2-minute opening scene alone is estimated to cost $3million. Rainie commented: “Wow! IT never fails to strike me how S.H.E. resembles the cutesy Power Puff Girls. Selina Ren, 28, loves pink and is beautiful and smart like Blossom while Hebe Tien, 26, is cool, cute and independent like Bubbles.Ella Chen, 28, is tough, protective and a little tomboyish like Buttercup.
But last Saturday, the girly trio shed their sweet-young-things image and appeared before the crowd at Bukit Jalil National Stadium as confident, sophisticated and alluring young women. The metamorphosis was not unexpected as S.H.E.is in its ninth year in the E-circle and all three are in their late 20s.
Ella’s look that night was the most shocking of the three. Although still stubbornly retaining a short bob despite some fans’ wish for her to let her hair grow, it was a completely different Ella from the one who was once confused as a boy. In a glittering red-tube dress that complemented the fiery redness of her hair, Ella sizzled like a petite, sexy pop diva. Gone also were the flashy sneakers that she had always favoured over heels. As the concert kicked off with hot dance moves and fast numbers like Miss Universe, Superstar, Boom and Super Model, Ella sang, danced and pranced on stage with her group mates in three-inchers.
“Our dance moves are newly choreographed and our wardrobe has been given a new, sexy twist. “I’m also dancing in heels for the first time.It’s a breakthrough for me!” she declared to cheers from the crowd. It must have been quite a feat because Ella had previously hurt her back in a fall from a three-storey building during a TV show which earned her almost a month’s stay in the hospital.
When the girls belted out Planet 612 from their latest album, FM S.H.E., they swapped their sexy disco get-ups for feathery tutus and posed as cute yellow, pink and blue canaries in a giant bird’s nest which had been raised from the stage floor. Hebe hit all the high notes in this song beautifully, highlighting again why she has always been hailed as the best singer in the group. With the change of theme from explosive sexiness to angelic beauty, the selection of songs also turned lovey as the trio showcased its hallmark powerful harmonies in the likes of Wu Yue Tian (Mayday), Ni Zui Jin Hai Hao Ma (How Have You Been Lately?), Zen Me Ban (What To Ao?) and Ke Ai Wan Sui (Long Live Loveliness).
Hebe kicked off the solo performance segment with Ozzie Nelson’s Dream A Little Dream of Me, dressed in a silver tube which boasted a blue velvet train.With just a piano and guitar as accompaniments, Hebe’s clear, strong vocals made this 1931 hit all her own that night.
Next up was Selina, who came onstage in a black glittery tube.Although the dance moves were pnteresting — she was tossed about quite a bit by the backup dancers — she slaughtered George Michael’s classic, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go. Immediately after the first 30 seconds into the song, you could tell that that she had lost control of her nasal sweet soprano vocals as she went off-key and at times, even off-beat.
It wasn’t just the wrong song choice. Apart from some ragged cheers, the crowd was silent. But all was not lost as Ella stole the show when she sang her own composition, Wo Jiu Shi Wo (I’m Just Me), to roaring cheers. Catchy, with strong honest lyrics that told how she only wanted to be true to herself, the song also had rappy parts that Ella belted out effortlessly.Towards the end of the song, it was clear that her performance had blasted away the earlier blunders.
Some 22 songs later, S.H.E.’s junior label-mate Yoga Lin made an appearance, to return the trio’s guesting in his Singapore concert recently, and lent his strong bass to Ai Wo De Zi Ge (The Right To Love Me). Then he took the stage to give the trio a much-needed breather.It was clear that he was also a crowd favourite as the audience sang along when he belted out one of his more popular singles, Kan Jian Shen Me Chang Shen Me (What You See Is What You Sing).
After Yoga departed, S.H.E. kept the crowd high with a special KTV session, which began with the trio seated on a red couch in the middle of the stage, complete with popcorn, fruits and drinks. And to the amusement of their fans, the music videos played on the giant screens all featured the trio — but togged in ’60s and ’70s outfits. They did covers of their friends and idols’ songs.
Ella took to the rostrum with Jian Dan Ai (Simple Love) by Gary Tao, Selina redeemed herself with a clear and crisp rendition of Chong Bai (Admire) by Fish Leong, and Hebe rendered a tribute to Faye Wong with the latter’s Gei Zi Ji De Qing Shu (A Love Letter To Myself), a vocally-challenging piece that she handled well. As the concert neared its end, fans gave Hebe, who would be celebrating her birthday on March 30, a heart-shaped jelly cake.
Saturday’s gig was the third stop in “S.H.E. Is The One” world tour, which kicked off with two sold-out performances in Hong Kong’s Coliseum last October. Laughter, incredible camaraderie and powerful harmonies are the staples of each S.H.E. concert and the three-hour performance that night successfully showcased yet again why the trio continues its strangle-hold as the best mando-pop girl group in Asia. Upcoming historical drama "Faith"
Korean actor Lee Jun-ki will star in an upcoming historical drama tentatively titled "Faith" in English, according to his agency on Friday.
The actor will play the male lead in the drama, playing a young student of Eastern medicine who grows up be a legendary doctor during the Koryo Period.
The series will be helmed by famed Korean director Kim Jong-hak, who is known for his blockbuster scale dramas such as "Taewangsasingi" (MBC, 2007), which starred top actor Bae Yong-joon, and "Sandglass" (SBS, 1995), which scored the highest viewership ratings in local television history.
Kim is said to have thought highly of Lee's solid acting and his status as a Hallyu star throughout Asia for the role.

Xiah Junsu's debut single will be released
TVXQ member Xiah Junsu's twin brother Zuno will be making his official singing debut at a showcase in China later this month, according to his agency BIAS on Thursday.
BIAS announced in a press release that Zuno will be performing at the "ZUNO Showcase in Beijing", to be held at Beijing Chaoyang Gymnasium on March 28. Some 2,000 tickets for the event sold out a month ago within an hour of going on sale.
"We had been receiving numerous inquiries even before we made the announcement about the showcase," an official at BIAS explained. "Local fan clubs have already been established and there is a lot of interest in Zuno."
The 90-minute show will feature singing and dancing performances by the singer, and the music videos for his tracks "Nothing to Lose" and "I Love You" will be revealed for the first time as well.
"I feel nervous and excited, like my heart is about to burst because this is the first time that I will be performing in front of so many people," Zuno was quoted as saying. "I will do my best to live up to the enormous support."
Zuno, whose real name is Kim Junho, had been known for his talent and potential as an entertainer ahead of his debut -- in November 2008, he reportedly drew attention from industry executives when he appeared on MBC's celebrity dating show "Introducing the Friend of a Famous Star" with Junsu where he staged his good looks and talent.
His debut single will be released simultaneously in Korea and China on March 29.

Arashi's Satoshi Ohno premieres on April 17
Last month, it was announced that Arashi's Satoshi Ohno (29) will star in a live-action drama series based on the "Kaibutsu-kun" manga. On Wednesday, more of the cast members were revealed, along with their costumes.

Kim Hee-sun screen in a Chinese film, Warring States (戰國)
Actress Kim Hee-sun will be returning to the big screen in a Chinese film, titled Warring States (戰國) . Kim hasn’t been active in recent years, since her 2007 marriage and the birth of her first child; her last acting role was in 2006’s drama series Smile Again, and her last film back in 2005 with The Myth.
This movie takes place in China’s Warring States Period and boasts a production budget of 20 billion won. She will begin filming at the end of the month, according the production company (星光燦爛), and a press conference will be held on March 14.
Kim is also in discussions to make her television comeback as well, in the drama Faith [신의] by PD Kim Jong-hak (Legend). The drama plans to begin filming in June, so there should be no problem with Kim doing both projects.

Traditional drama "Dong-yi"
According to daily statistics released by research firms TNS Media Korea and AGB Nielsen Media Research, "Pasta" recorded national viewership ratings of 21.5 and 21.2 percent, respectively, for its final episode last night.
The culinary drama, which premiered in Korea on January 4, had started off with ratings around 13 percent and went on to breach the 20 percent mark when KBS2 TV series "Master of Study" ended its run last month.
The Monday and Tuesday evening drama wrapped up its story with a happy ending for its two main characters Choi Hyun-wook, played by Lee Sun-kyun, and Seo Yu-kyung, played by Kong Hyo-jin.
The show had received positive feedback from viewers with its well-balanced combination of a good script, directing and acting.
SBS' "Jejungwong" and KBS' "The Birth of the Rich", which aired in the same time slot, recorded ratings of 14.4 and 13.1 percent, respectively.
MBC will air traditional drama "Dong-yi", starring Ji Jin-he and Han Hyo-joo, starting March 22.

The best combination in Japanese female R&B is back for the first time in seven years, with singers AI, 28, and Namie Amuro, 32, set to release their single “FAKE feat. Namie Amuro.”
The sexy pair performed together as part of SUITE CHIC in 2003 and ZEEBRA in 2006, but this is the first time for a song to be released under AI’ s name. 2010 also marks AI’s 10th anniversary on the music scene, and word is that she sounded Amuro out for her participation both publicly and privately.

But due to the fact the car is too long, he had to rent out space from Huashan arts centre to park it, he laughed saying, it needs 3 parking spaces. The currently-unstoppable boy band Arashi proved their domination once again this week, with their latest single "Troublemaker." Drama : Love Buffet ( Update )
Love Buffet, the idol drama adaption of the best-selling manga, had to suspend filming for half a year due to the 8/8 disaster. They will soon resume filming; however scheduling conflicts presented by the original lead actress, Joanne Zeng, caused Comic Productions to find a replacement. They finally decided on Black and White’s “hamburger girl” Reen Yu to take up the role.
Joanne Zeng and the male leads Calvin Chen and Arron Yan have already shot approximately 1/3 of of their scenes together. As a result, all their completed scenes are unusable. Comic Productions general manager Wang Xin Gui roughly estimated, “On top of that, the losses due to suspension of filming for half a year is almost NT$ 10 million.”

New movie "Can't buy me love"
When Sharon Chan was filming "Can't buy me love", she accidentally sprained her neck. She reckoned it was due to her wearing the heavy head gear. She had an X-ray and the doctor found some of her cervical bones have been shifted. Sharon was in so much pain that she couldn't move her head. She needed to have physiotherapy for a month.
Sharon was doing a show for a jeweler the other night. She looked a bit stiff, she said she had become a "Stiff neck 4". Although she was still in pain, nevertheless, she finished the show. After the event, she told reporter "The doctor told me I had an old injured on my neck before, and the head gear I was wearing was very heavy. That may have been the cause of my problem. The neck bones were out of place and were pressing on the nerve, causing me so much pain. I couldn't even lift my arms up. I have to wear the collar to protect my neck. Fortunately, the filming is nearly finished. The company have told me not to risk it. I will take some time off work to rest."

The 10th Tokyo Girls Collection at Yokohama Arena
Japan's biggest fashion show The 10th Tokyo Girls Collection was held on the 6th at Yokohama Arena. Hasegawa Jun (23), Yamada Yu (25), Marie (22), Sasaki Nozomi (22) and Karina (26) were among many of the models and guests that took part in the event.
Appearing in the upcoming movie My Darling is a Foreigner, actress Inoue Mao (23) was escorted on stage with actor Jonathan Sherr (35) wearing a white wedding dress adorned with a big ribbon. "I was a bit nervous, but I was happy to be wearing a similar wedding dress as the one in the movie." Hearing loud cheers from the crowd also brought a smile to her face. The movie will be released April 10.

New drama "In the eye of the beholder"
Myolie Wu, Moses Chan, Chen Fala wore their ancient costumes to promote their new drama "In the eye of the beholder". As the drama title has two words "怒點" (which means anger but in Cantonese its pronunciation can sound like another phrase - revealing), hence was asked if others will misunderstood that it means revealing?
Myolie said: " No revealing la! TV dramas cannot be too sexy, but there is a bathing scene in the drama. Wearing a 'Dudou' (an olden day undergarment covering chest and abdomen), revealing only the shoulders."
