Singer Son DamBi will continue her ‘DamBi fever’ to the rest of Asia.
According to Pledis, Son DamBi will be active in China and SEA in the later half of this year.
The Pledis representative said, “There has been many requests for Son DamBi to do promotions in various Asian countries. Recently, we have met up with some of the locals promoters to discuss about that. We will choose our promoters carefully and once that is done we will go ahead with her overseas activities.”
Even though Son DamBi has not done any overseas promotions since her debut, she had enjoyed high popularity in the region, especially in China. This is partly due to the song ‘Crazy’ which she released in September 2008 which was very well received by fans in the region.
Son DamBi’s appearances also carry both the Western and Eastern charms which made her a big attraction to promoters in the region.
Meanwhile, Son DamBi recently released her 2nd minialbum and she is currently promoting the title song ‘queen’.

Popular Wei Li An and his song have become popular
Until today, Weibird Wei Li An is still yet to make an appearance on a TV show yet he has become popular and his songs have become popular. In real life, as soon as Weibird has his hair unstyled and wear glasses, he immediately becomes an ordinary citizen. In fact, 3 times people mentioned that, "You have the same first and last name as that singer"; he revealed that currently his mode of transport is still the MTR, very pleased he added, "The feeling of being able to separate my work and personal life is fantastic."
In real life, Weibird who doesn't like to dress up too much, is a really ordinary citizen. Tickets were sold out within seconds but Weibird said, "It's okay, to those who couldn't buy tickets, you can still ask me to sign your CD that day after the concert."
Then on September 18 and 25, Weibird will be performing bigger concerts at Taipei TICC and Taichung Chung Hsing University respectively.

Patty Hou still single this year
Patty Hou has been engaged for over 6 months yet she will still be a single woman on this year's Chinese Valentine's Day. At yesterday's Charriol Chinese Valentine's new product launch, Patty revealed that the wedding had been scheduled for September in the Maldives but because some elderly family members had poor health, they have decided to postpone the wedding date to the end of the year, "This should be the last time I spend Valentine's Day as a single woman."
Even though Patty is "single", Charriol took into consideration that she will soon be someone's wife so for yesterday's Chinese Valentine's Day event, Charriol found little kids to accompany Patty. Her interactions with the little kids who were dressed up as Cupids were very natural and she even played kisses with them; Patty admitted that during these past few years, she has started to really love kids but after they get married, she wants to first enjoy life as a couple and isn't in a hurry to have kids.

DVD release season 4 "House"
To promote the DVD release of season 4 of the popular U.S. medical drama series "House," marketers have teamed up with none other than the Father of Japanese manga. TV commercials and posters for the DVD feature "House" star Hugh Laurie (51) and manga physician Black Jack, one of the most popular creations of Tezuka Osamu (1928-89). It is the first ever collaboration between a Tezuka character and an overseas drama. The commercials will air from August 4.

Johnny’s Jr.’s Toma Ikuta upcoming single
Johnny’s Jr.’s Toma Ikuta (25) will make his music video debut with TOKIO for their upcoming single “NaNaNa (太陽なんていらねぇ (Taiyo nante irane))”, it has been revealed yesterday reports Sanspo.com.
The music video will focus on Ikuta, who plays a man dumped by his girlfriend for being too unreliable, but is cheered on by TOKIO’s song to try and propose to her again. TOKIO members appear throughout the video, including group leader Shigeru Joshima (39) dressed in a pink bathrobe, and Taichi Kokubun (35) on a rope ladder hanging from the ceiling.
Ikuta has been reported to have said he was excited to have worked on this project.
“To me, TOKIO have been great big brothers for years.
“I’m really happy to be able to work with them in this way,” he said.
The popstar also said he was happy with the finished video.
“If you relax a little, it’s enough to grab your heart and make you cry,” he said.

Leehom Wang upcoming album “18 Martial Arts”
Yesterday, Leehom Wang held a pre-order signing event for his upcoming album, “18 Martial Arts”, at Ximending. Heavy rain began to fall unexpectedly and two thousand fans at the event became impatient and rowdy and shouted their dissatisfaction toward the media journalists for interviewing Leehom for too long.
It’s been a year and a half since his last album, and “18 Martial Arts” is set to release on July 31st. Fans of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and other places came to show their support for the superstar, but they were all soaked in rain.
The event was originally scheduled to begin at 3pm. Leehom was ten minutes late, but he immediately performed his new single, “Firewood, Rice, Oil, Salt, Soy Sauce, Vinegar, Tea”, as he dashed on stage. The fans in the rain screamed in excitement upon seeing their idol. Leehom’s good friend, Vivian Hsu, who wrote the lyrics for his latest single, also specially flew back from Japan to show her support. She gave Leehom a high-heel shoe shaped telephone as a gift and laughed, “He always busies himself with his fans and music. I’m giving him this, hoping that he can soon find a woman that will care about him and cook good things for him to eat.”
During the interview time, thirty different media crowded the stage, and two journalists quarreled due to fighting for room. The organizers immediately tried to settle the fight, but not just the journalists were heated, the fans below the stage also grew impatient waiting for the media to finish interviewing Leehom. As the media blocked the fans’ view, the fans shouted angrily, “I can’t see!”, “Be considerate of those who are actually in the rain!” And some even shouted, “b*llsh*t!” The fans finally calmed down after Leehom, a little embarrassed, consoled, “It’ll (the interview) be done in another minute.”

The producer of world-known pop star Justin Bieber meets with Korean idol group Teen Top.
Shin Hyuk, the producer of Justin Bieber, met with Teen Top. Shin Hyuk is the producer of Justin Bieber’s Billboard hit single ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ and he had met with Teen Top to help with the producing of their album.
Shin Hyuk said, “I got to know about Teen Top through American MTV and I’ve decided to do producing for this rookie band whose capabilities are already verified. After Justin Bieber, there are many stars who have proposed for me to do producing for them, but this is is the first time I’m doing album producing and it is for Teen Top.”
Shin Hyuk is known to have returned to Korea recently for the producing works of Teen Top’s album. And once the recordings are done, he will fly back to the States where he will do the mixing of the album under A-Rex Productions.
Meanwhile, Teen Top is promoting their debut song ‘Clap’.

Second week ratings of "A Pillowcase of Mystery II" continue to go up, average ratings 32 points, peaking 37 points. Bobby Au-Yeung once said if ratings reach 50 points, he would celebrate it by running nude. In yesterday's promotion event, producer Lam Chi Wah arranged Johnson Lee to disguise as mermaid Pauline to wish for 50 point ratings. Bobby was forced to appear in "nude." Idol drama "Sunny Happiness"
The Idol drama "Sunny Happiness" which wrapped up in Xia Men held its wrap-up party the day before, Mike Ho, Ning Chang and others who just returned to Taipei attended together, toasting happily. Following after "Happy Ever After", the Happiness trilogy collaboration between Mainland and Taiwan just wrapped up in Xiamen, the lead actors Mike Ho and Nin Chang just returned to Taipei and they immediately attended the wrap-up dinner, toasting to celebrate the joyous event.
In the drama, Mike Ho acted as a rich man who divorced once, and unknowingly had an eight year old son. Ning Chang acted as a orphan from orphanage. The two of them started their fairytale like love story from a 'fake marriage'. 'Xiaomei' Mike Ho who always appeared as the dreamlover image of young ladies acted as a divorced "Nanny-dad prince", Mike Ho expressed that it was indeed challenging. In the midst of acting, Mike Ho consulted people who were experienced parents for guidance, specially the parents of the child who acted as his son, admitting that it helped him greatly. He believed that this drama with a 'matured' plot would make people whom experience family, marriage or children understand the importance of cherishing people around you.

Taeyang first solo concert
According to YG Entertainment, Big Bang member Taeyang will be holding his first solo concert on the fourth and fifth of September . The concert is titled “Solar” after his recent album, and will be held in Seoul’s Kyung Hee University.

Japanese film “Ooku”
Japanese film “Ooku” has just selected Arashi’s song “Dear Snow” to be the theme song for the film. This is not surprising due to the main actor in the film being Arashi’s own Ninomiya Kazunari, but is great news for Arashi fans nonetheless.
The film is about an alternate universe Japan in the Edo era where all of the male population is affected with a mysterious disease that forces the society to become matriarchal. TVB new series "Female Boxing"
Today Liu Xian, Bosco Wong, Kenneth Ma and Fala Chen attended TVB new series blessing ceremony. She expressed that filming is quite difficult, she already felt miserable on the first fighting scene. Singer Dave Wang revealed that he will retire after his upcoming concert tour during an appearance on a Hong Kong television programme on Sunday.
"I am calling it quits. Before I leave, I want to answer to my fans. I came into this industry using my music and I want to use my music to say goodbye to my fans and thank them.
"Don't worry! I, Dave Wang, am a man of my word. When I say I will go, I won't miss the industry and come back. I won't speak irresponsibly," said Wang confidently.

SHINee’s 2nd album ‘Lucifer’
SHINee’s 2nd album ‘Lucifer’ goes up to the #1 spot on various on and offline music charts as soon as it was released.
The album title song ‘Lucifer’ is up #1 on various music chart real time chart when it was released on 19th July. And on 20th July, the song is up #1 on various music site daily charts like Dosirak, Cyworld and Bugs. Apart from that the album is also #1 on the daily album sales chart on Hanteo site. Already five years since she's been in the limelight, Faye Wong will be holding 10 shows in Beijing and Shanghai during October and November for her 'Faye Wong 2010 Tour'. Yesterday Faye held a press conference in Beijing to officially kick off her tour and attracted nearly 300 reporters [by invite only]. Faye appeared wearing sandals and stayed for 10 minutes. Known as the "Godfather of Music" Dai Si Chung and also known as the mentor to many famous celebrities including Leon Lai and Faye Wong suddenly collapsed in the bathroom of his house from a heart attack, yesterday afternoon. "Norwegian Wood" movie
The live-action movie adaptation of Haruki Murakami's popular novel "Norwegian Wood" has actually received approval to use the original Beatles song of the same name as its theme song.
The song "Norwegian Wood," first recorded on the 1965 Beatles album "Rubber Soul," inspired the title of Murakami's novel when he published it in 1987. The song is a thematic element of the story, and the film will faithfully include it in multiple scenes. Although director Tran Anh Hung felt it was only natural to use "Norwegian Wood" as the movie's theme song, negotiations were still incomplete by the time filming wrapped up last August.

The film's producer considered having another artist cover the song, but Hung insisted that the original should be used. His perseverance paid off, as he finally secured approval in December. The Fantastic Water Babes premiere yesterday
Last night held its premiere, Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) went to support good friend Gillian Chung (Ah Gil), arriving at the premiere 30 minutes before it ended. Ah Sa appeared as a secret guest surprising Ah Gil. Ah Sa said that the night before she had work, so initially she wouldn't have time to attend the premiere, but she knows this movie is very meaningful to Ah Gil, so after work she rushed over to the premiere. Ah Gil told Ah Sa that this movie is the portrays her life in the last few years, so as a partner Ah Sa must support her. The United Nations hold a special concert
The United Nations will hold a special extra-large outdoor concert at Universal Studios in Osaka from July 23 - 25. The concert, known as "United Nations Friends - Asia Pacific Global Tolerance with Music 2010," will feature a number of popular Korean groups.
On the 23rd, 5-member popular girl group 4minute, 6-member idol group BEAST, the Japanese groups SPEED and AAA among others will perform.
A formal ceremony will be held on the 24th, and Korean stars Big Bang, Japanese singers Crystal Kay, Chemistry, Beni, and others will perform. On the last day, Korean group Choushinsei, Japanese groups Gospellers, Do As Infinity and others are scheduled.
The goal of the event is to carry the importance of peace through the universal language of music, and it is a festival that will attempt to unite the Japanese artists and the representative artists from other Asian countries with the audience.
This will be the third time this festival has been held.

Se7en's new album release next week
Korean singer Se7en, who will be making a comeback to the local music scene next week, has unveiled the tracklist from his new record on his official homepage (http://www.hello7.com).
According to a press release by agency YG Entertainment (YG) on Tuesday, the singer revealed the tracklist from his upcoming mini-album earlier this morning including a twenty-second teaser of the song "Digital Bounce," which features Big Bang member T.O.P.
The mini-album will be composed of seven tracks; "Intro - Reset", "Digital Bounce", "Better Together" (title track), "I'm Going Crazy", "Money Can't Buy Me Love", "Drips" and "Roller Coaster."
The new album was produced by YG's main record producer Teddy, who penned the title track, as well as other new producers recruited by the agency this year.
"It would not be an exaggeration to say that Se7en is making a new debut through this album and there will be big changes both musically and appearance-wise," explained an official at YG.

"The Incite Mill" at theater on October 16
Singer May'n (20) has been chosen to sing the theme song for the upcoming thriller "The Incite Mill." The tune is a rock number called "Shinjite Miru," a play on the movie's title (which is written in Japanese as "Inshite Miru"). This is her first movie theme song since changing her stage name from Mei Nakabayashi (her real name) to May'n.
"The Incite Mill," first announced in January, is a major movie project organized by talent agency Horipro. The film, which tells the story of a group of 10 people trapped and forced to participate in a "death game," is directed by horror filmmaker Hideo Nakata. It features several of Horipro's top stars, including Tatsuya Fujiwara (28), Haruka Ayase (25), and Satomi Ishihara (23).
May'n herself has also been part of Horipro ever since she won the music competition in the 2003 Horipro Talent Scout Caravan at the age of 13. This makes Sakamoto the first female enka singer to have an album reach 200,000 in sales since Teresa Teng accomplished it in 1989.
Although there have been hit singles in the enka and kayokyoku genres in recent years, it is difficult for full albums to sell strongly, even when they include a popular song. Mr. Hong Kong 2010 would be held in August 21. TVB picked 10 Mr. HK contestants from 29 people who came to interview. Yesterday the 10 contestants were arranged to meet with TVB's high executives. Moon Geun-young at theater next month
Actress Moon Geun-young will make her theatrical debut next month. Entertainment group Aga Company announced that Moon will star in the play "Closer" at the Art One Theater in Seoul from early August.

Written by English playwright Patrick Marber, it premiered in London in 1997 and has been performed in over 100 cities worldwide. Rock band X Japan releasing new album
Rock band X Japan held an urgent press conference on Thursday to announce a few pieces of news, including their first North American tour and a new album.
It has already been known since January that X Japan will be performing at the Lollapalooza rock festival in Chicago, which is taking place August 6-8. In addition, they were announced as special guests at the upcoming Otakon 2010 convention in Baltimore (July 30-August 1), where they will perform a short acoustic set. However, the band plans to launch a full tour across North America starting on October 1.
The North American tour is connected to the band's planned world tour, which was scheduled last year but had to be postponed due to various circumstances. X Japan is resuming their world tour plans, starting with domestic performances at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama on August 14 and 15.

The countdown for singer Se7en’s singer comeback in Korea after 3 years has begun!

The preparation works for the comeback are in the last stage.”

New album "Battling Bach"
Today Nan Quan Mama held a press conference for the release of their new album "Battling Bach". Jang Dong-gun, Won Bin, and Bae Yong-joon are Korea's top three hottest male celebrities, according to CNN's Asian website CNNGO. The website featured a list of "Korea's 20 hottest male celebs."

iCable won World Cup 2010
iCable won World Cup 2010's broadcast rights, leaving TVB and ATV "no broadcast at all". However, for the opening match, semi finals and the finals, iCable offered a 1 dollar nominal fee (token value) broadcast contract with the two stations TVB and ATV, but require the signals of the entire broadcast to be provided by iCable, including the soccer talk footage and advertisements. TVB and ATV made arrangements for high definition broadcast. Also, TVB plans to join the optional voice commentary channel, letting viewers choose.
Yesterday TVB confirmed that tomorrow morning during the semi-finals, they will add the optional voice commentary. TVB Foreign Affairs Director (Tsang Sing Ming) expressed that TVB is a responsible television station, they will definitely follow all the contract terms, allow the broadcast to be strictly on iCable's signals. The optional third channel is to improve the service and to the interest of viewers. Viewers are allowed to choose what to watch, it is still within the contract terms. As for iCable can interrupt the signals during the broadcast on TVB, TVB is completely passive about it. Tsang Sing Ming expressed that TVB is just trying to give more benefits to viewers and that justice is in the people's hearts.

Currently popular Asia's young Tin Hau Ah SA Charlene Choi arrived at Suzhou's Jiu Guang Mall to hold a fan meet-and-greet for her newest Mandarin album . "HI! "He (Chou) is very self-centered and very controlling. For example, whenever we go out, he would insist that I wear clothes that matched his. If he wore blue, you'd have to wear blue. If he wore a face mask, you'd also have to wear one," he said.

Lee MinHo wrote on his minihompy on 1st July at 6pm, “Because there are many posers on Twitter, I’m making one,” and revealed his Twitter account: (http://twitter.com/actorleeminho). His first tweet was, “I want to ride a bicycle.” He also posted up a photo of himself riding a bicycle in a CF. After which, he visited the Twitter page actor Jeong SeongHwa from MBC drama ‘Personal Taste’ and wrote, “Hyung, I made a Twitter account too. Please teach me.”
Lee MinHo also posted on director Park KwangChoon’s Twitter page, “Director, it’s me MinHo. The previous accounts under my name are fake.”

Upcoming 6-member male idol group
Upcoming 6-member male idol group Teen Top reveals their upcoming album’s jacket photo.
They will be releasing their debut album on 9th July, with the title song ‘Applause’. And ahead of their debut, a jacket photo was released on their official homepage (http://www.teentop.co.kr) on 2nd July.
Their agency T.O.P Media said, “The concept of the jacket photo is innocence as the members are all still in their teenage years. While other groups would emphasize on their accessories and fashion for the jacket photo, Teen Top will show the most natural features showing a sense of mystery through their album jacket.”
