"Taira no Kiyomori" series release 2012
A couple weeks ago, rumors surfaced that actor Kenichi Matsuyama (25) had been chosen to star in NHK's 2012 taiga drama, "Taira no Kiyomori." The network confirmed that on Thursday with an official press conference announcing Matsuyama as the show's star.
This will be Matsuyama's first appearance in one of NHK's taiga dramas. As previously reported, the series will revolve around the life of the 12th century general Taira no Kiyomori, responsible for the Taira clan's rise to power. Although Taira no Kiyomori has traditionally been portrayed as a villain, his character will be depicted differently in this drama.
The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2012, though filming is expected to start next summer.

Jacky Cheung held a press conference today to officially announce the dates for the Shanghai and Hong Kong legs of his concert tour. He will kick off his World Tour in Shanghai at the end of December and the Hong Kong leg will take place April 15 to 18 and 21 to 25 at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The is meant to commemorate Jacky’s 25 years in the industry.
At the same time, Jacky also spoke out regarding the ‘deposit scandal’ related to his concert – he emphasized that he absolutely trusts his manager Florence Chan and even if she doesn’t arrange his concerts for him in the future, he still will not collaborate with the woman allegedly involved in the scandal (Shum Si Yi).
Earlier in the year, Jacky’s concert was involved in a scandal in which Miss Shum claimed that she was directed by Florence Chan to accept deposits from business sponsors for the concert, however Mrs. Chan denied giving any such authorization. A few months ago, Miss Shum came to Hong Kong to hold a press conference and tearfully begged Jacky to step in to take care of the situation.

From my position, I’m not really the third party, as it directly affects Mrs. Chan the most; however Miss Shum did mention me by name and even told me to be careful when choosing managers. New series "抉宅男女" release soon
The TVB actress is currently filming new series <抉宅男女> and she plays the wife of Michael Miu. It has only been two months and already rumored the actress is flirting with Miu. The two hold hands during and outside of filming, causing Miu's wife Jaime Chik to check on them at the filming set.
As for rumored with male leads again, Kwok did not even want to clear it up: "It's too fake. I don't want to promote for the magazine."
Later the day, the 35 year old vented out her anger on Weibo: "As for the recent magazine story, I have nothing to say."
Her newest rumored partner Miu replied to Kwok's message: "A Team from 'Gun Metal Grey' needs to come out and solve this case. Have to bring the forensics people to the company to search evidence...haha! Just treat it as free promotion. Don't affect your mood. You know, I know, even my wife knows, just for a laugh."
Miu later expressed in a phone interview that his wife is not mad at all: "But we are worried about Sonija. We play a couple in the series. She told me she is quite stressed about working with me because there are always negative news when she worked with other male actors in the past, so she isn't dared to come near me during break. But I told her to just relax."

"Tokyo Kouen" release on 2011
Director Shinji Aoyama ("Sad Vacation," "Eureka") is working on a new movie titled "Tokyo Kouen," his first feature-length film since 2007. Haruma Miura (20) has been cast as the star, along with actresses Nana Eikura (22), Manami Konishi (32), and Haruka Igawa (34).
The film is based on a novel of the same name by author Yukiya Shoji, best known for his "Tokyo Bandwagon" series. Miura takes on the role of Koji, a college student aiming to become a professional photographer. One day, he receives an unusual request to shadow the client's girlfriend and take pictures of her, and that leads to subtle changes in his relationships with the women around him.
Eikura plays the ex-girlfriend of Koji's childhood friend, Konishi plays Koji's sister after one of his parents remarries, and Igawa plays the woman that Koji is photographing.
"Tokyo Kouen" is scheduled for theatrical release in 2011.

Since queen of ballads Jasmine Leong has joined Universal her first music album “Love Songs Didn’t Tell You” will be released Dec 24th, Jasmine today went to Hit FM to do promotions on the new album, and at the same time she has been promoted as a producer, the pressure is so heavy that she is grinding her teeth nightly.
First time as a producer, Jasmine admits the pressure is heavy, especially when the thought of working with the lyricist teacher Li Zhuo Hung or communicating with the mixing teacher will give her a headache. Oricon's weekly sales rankings have been released, and as reported a couple days ago, Masaharu Fukuyama's album "THE BEST BANG!!" sold 381,000 copies to set this year's record for first-week album sales by a solo artist.
Mai Kuraki entered the charts at #3, with the latest Hexagon All Stars release right behind her at #4. Elephant Kashimashi ranked #8, slightly ahead of SCANDAL at #9.
On the singles chart, KAT-TUN's "CHANGE UR WORLD" was #1 with 231,000 copies sold. All 13 of their singles have been number-ones, and all of them have also sold more than 200,000 copies in their first week.

Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.2
With the release of her "Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.2" album a couple days away, and the final concerts before her hiatus a couple weeks away, singer Hikaru Utada has been doing promotions seemingly nonstop in recent weeks. On Sunday, she made her first public appearance since declaring her hiatus in August, then updated her blog that night with a few more announcements.
First of all, Utada's December 8-9 concerts at the Yokohama Arena are going to be aired in HD on Sky PerfecTV! on January 22, 2011. They will then be aired on Space Shower TV sometime in February. Before those broadcasts, Sky PerfecTV! will run multiple broadcasts (starting on December 30) of a special program including an interview with Utada and footage of her past concerts.
Space Shower TV and Sky PerfecTV! are jointly running a giveaway of 500 pairs of tickets to the Yokohama Arena concerts. More information is available here.
Utada also revealed that "Arashi no Megami," one of the new songs on her album, is being used as part of the "1 Choco for 1 Smile" campaign being run by Morinaga Chocolate. The campaign is an ongoing charity project to support children in cocoa-producing regions, and Morinaga has already pledged to donate part of its revenue from this year to the cause. "Arashi no Megami" will now be used as the campaign song, and for every purchased download of the song between November 24 and February 14 (Valentine's Day), 1 yen will go towards the campaign. This matches Morinaga's upcoming promotion, which will donate 1 yen per box of chocolates sold during the next Valentine's season (January 1 to February 14).
To promote her new album, Utada appeared live on J-WAVE's "McDonald's TOKIO HOT 100" radio show on Sunday, marking her first appearance at the J-WAVE studio since six years ago.
Host Chris Peppler talked with Utada about her impending hiatus, which starts next year. The singer had previously stated that she wants to take a break to focus on her "human activities." Asked to elaborate on that, she said, "While working as an artist, you're protected by the people around you. I want to take a step away from being an artist, and return to almost zero. When I get to my 40s or 50s, I don't want to become an old lady who can't do anything without a manager."
She continued by indicating that she intends to work towards more positive communication between her and her parents, singer Keiko Fuji (59) and music producer Teruzane Utada (62). She also mentioned that she would like to try doing volunteer work overseas and learning French. She refused to commit to a time for her comeback as a musician, saying that she will return when she feels that she "can see her own self clearly." She ended by saying, "I think the ordinary things are special."

New EP "Move On" Gillian Chung
Gillian Chung (Ah Gill) recently released her new EP "Move On" and held an album signing in Tuen Mun yesterday. A male model named Alex was arranged to appear and Ah Gill was to draw on his arm. Carina Lau is recently busy shooting for Pegasus Motion Picture's All Well, Ends Well 2011 (最強囍事). She expressed that for 20 hours she did not rest and implied that it is due to having to rush the scenes with Donnie Yen. Yesterday, Carina, Donnie, Louis Koo, Maggie Lee, Ciwi Lam, Irene Wong and producer Wong Bak Ming attended the movie's press conference. Cecilia Cheung did not attend because she was sick. New Series "Deka Wanko" release on 2011
Actress Mikako Tabe (21) has been chosen to star in the live-action "Deka Wanko" drama series, which was first announced at the end of August. This will be Tabe's first lead role in a series on a commercial broadcaster.

The comedic series revolves around a rookie detective named Ichiko Hanamori (played by Tabe), whose exceptional dog-like sense of smell is used to solve difficult cases, in addition to earning her the nickname of "Deka Wanko."
One of the highlights of the show will be Tabe's various costumes, which include the Gothic Lolita dress seen in a promotional poster for the show.

"Keitai Kanojo" is based on the popular mobile phone novel of the same name. It is the sequel to "Keitai Kareshi," which was turned into a movie last year starring 9nine's Umika Kawashima (16).
In "Keitai Kanojo," Suzuki plays a high school student investigating the mystery behind a mobile phone dating simulation game. Taketomi plays a girl who appears within the game, somehow killing the male players one by one.

New series Thunder of the Forbidden Palace
Recently Steven Ma has been busy shooting for new series Thunder of the Forbidden Palace and was very happy to find out that his series with Fala Chen Links to Temptation is replacing Gun Metal Grey 9:30pm time slot. Steven said: "Although I'm covered with cuts and bruises from shooting Forbidden Palace, but when I heard my series is going to air soon, whatever pain I have I can survive!" Steven is also not worried about the broadcast time slot of the series because a good series will have audiences' support no matter what time it is.

Charlene's recently released album has fully received positive critiques and has even achieved platinum sales. Along with these great results, Charlene held an album autograph session with over 500 fans who arrived on location to receive autographs and show their support, in addition to presenting Charlene with a birthday cake and an environmentally friendly rose board to celebrate Charlene's 10th year in the showbiz. Yesterday Louis Koo attended an opening ceremony for Mirror Of Wanhua Stage's Winter Dreams and was asked about the recent action taken by the government to strike at the housing market. Yesterday Alex Fong and Edmond Leung attended WTO's "Pass It On 2010" opening ceremony in Causeway Bay. Alex expressed that he's already taken part in this event 5 years in a row. William Chan birthday surprise
Since going public with their relationship, William Chan and Charlene Choi have kept their relationship relatively quiet on Weibo. The night before, William uploaded a photo of a cake on Weibo. Complaints on TVB's "Gun Metal Grey"
TVB's "Gun Metal Grey" aired its 13th episode last night and the Broadcast Authority received 3 complaints regarding to that episode, noting Stone Sir (Felix Wong)'s transformation is disturbing, the series is defaming photographers, and rape scenes are inappropriate.
The plot is about Team A dealing with a pseudo-model rape-killing case and they send their team member Hui Man Sze (Nancy Wu) as an undercover to their target Franky (Stephen Huynh). Man Sze portrays as a sexy pesudo-model and take very sexy photos with Franky so he will show his killer side. But Franky escapes and goes after Man Sze's sister (Jessica Hsuan). Stone Sir arrives at the building and gets angry when he sees Franky tries to erase evidences; then he starts to hit Franky.
Scenes of raping and sexy photo-taking are considered too bold and that is the reason it receives complaints. The photographer character is said of defaming the profession.

Charlene Choi third solo Cantonese album
Less than a month after Charlene Choi released her third solo Cantonese album , album sales have already surpassed Platinum sales. Although Ah Sa only previously had one promotional event for her album, album sales have already exceeded platinum sales certification with many thanks to fans. Recently in Hong Kong, a celebration was held where EEG chairman was present to award Charlene for the great results. ‘The Green Hornet’ release in theaters soon
Jay Chou’s debut Hollywood film ‘The Green Hornet’ earlier held a test screening in America and scored a 93% approval rating from the audience. Sony Pictures is happy with the overwhelming response and is said to be planning a sequel. Yamashita first solo album
NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita (25) will launch a solo tour starting in January, planned to consist of 27 concerts in 10 cities over the course of a few months. Although the majority of those will be in Japan, the tour will include 10 shows in 5 cities outside Japan, starting with Hong Kong.
Yamashita reportedly became interested in starting international activities after NEWS performed in Taiwan in 2007. Now he is finally getting his chance to perform on his own for overseas audiences. With Korean pop music currently enjoying a boom throughout Japan and other parts of Asia, Yamashita said that he hopes to show fans "what only Japan's Johnny's can do."
Yamashita will be just the third Johnny's Jimusho artist to do a solo tour outside Japan, after Masahiko Kondo and Jin Akanishi.
The tour is currently scheduled to start with two concerts in Hong Kong on January 29-30. Yamashita will take a break in February, presumably to promote the live-action "Ashita no Joe" movie which he stars in. He will then resume the tour in early March with some domestic concerts. Besides Hong Kong, his overseas shows will be held in Taiwan on March 26-27, Korea (Busan) on April 16-17, Thailand on April 23-24, and Korea (Seoul) at the end of April. A total of 236,000 fans are estimated to attend.

"Getsu 9" drama series
Erika Toda (22) and Haruma Miura (20) will co-star in Fuji TV's next "Getsu 9" drama series. The show, called "Taisetsu na Koto wa Subete Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta," will be the first time either of them has starred in that time slot, and the first time that either has played the part of a teacher.

While he suffers from the anguish of his betrayal, he is resolved to save the young girl from her problems.

When Moses won the award, he expressed that he has more confidence to win the TVB Best Actor award. Sammi Cheng was presented with the Power of Love Award. Leon Lai won the Greeting Big Award. Moses said: "My first award in my acting career was from the hands of Leslie Cheung. Today winning this award, I feel very special, and have more confidence to get TV King. I am very surprised to see Stephen Chan here, very happy that he presented the award to me." He said he felt that he got good results this year, even Chow Yun Fat praised him, so if in the end Wayne Lai gets the TV King award, he'll be just as happy because Wayne is his idol. As to TVB scheduled the awards ceremony to be held at the same time as the Miss Asia Pageant, Moses felt: "No need to fight, each station has their own audience, I personally like watching TVB's pageants."

Arashi latest single "Hatenai Sora"
Arashi set a couple records this week with their latest single "Hatenai Sora," selling 572,000 copies. This easily put them in first place on the weekly charts, while popular electropop group Perfume settled for #2 with their new song "Nee."
Except for AKB48's "Beginner" at #6, the top ten consisted entirely of new singles. J Soul Brothers charted at #3, followed by Yusuke and Korean group KARA. Idol groups Berryz Koubou and Momoiro Clover were #7 and #8 respectively, while Ken Hirai and Alice Nine took the last two spots.
On the album charts, Ikimono Gakari's compilation album "Ikimono Bakari ~Members BEST Selection~" held onto the #1 spot for the second week in a row, adding 207,000 more copies sold. Its sales total after those two weeks is roughly 664,000, surpassing Kana Nishino to become this year's #1 female-vocal album. Overall, it is #2 behind Arashi's "Boku no Miteiru Fuukei."

Gillian Chung will launch her new solo EP tommorrow. After being in the industry for 10 years, record companies and Gillian thought it was time to try to have a different style of songs, thus opening up another milestone. Isabella Leong returned to Hong Kong for Christmas
Isabella Leong has secretly returned to Hong Kong for Christmas, with her three sons in tow.
The 22-year-old is believed to have secretly married Richard Li, son of billionaire Li Ka-shing after the birth of their first son last year. Isabella later gave birth to a pair of male twins in June this year and has been residing in San Francisco with her three young sons.
Li Ka-shing is believed to be elated to be a grandfather of three in a span of just two years. In order to please her in-law, Isabella had returned to Hong Kong to let her sons spend Christmas with their grandfather.
The former actress was spotted in Happy Valley with her mother, wearing a smile on her face. Sources have said that in order to lay low while she is in Hong Kong, Isabella had not informed her friends about her return.
In response to this, Isabella's manager expressed that there's nothing to address at the moment, refusing to admit that Isabella is indeed back in Hong Kong.

TVB Anniversary Awards Ceremony
TVB Anniversary Awards Ceremony is coming soon (12/5). Anniversary series "No Regrets" and "Can't Buy Me Love" are considered the hot favorites in win awards at the event. These two anniversary series are both supported many people. Yesterday some fans sent a complaint letter to media, complaining TVB changes the voting rule in order to push its "biological children" (those have contracts with TVB) to win in the awards ceremony.
These "No Regrets" fans are dissatisfied and demand a change in the current voting rule; otherwise they will stop watching TVB. Some extreme fans even noted TVB is not respecting Hong Kong people.
As for such accuse, TVB's Senior manager Chan Kar Yeung expressed they have yet receive the complaint letter and he cleared up they did not change the voting rule. He said: "We want fans to vote, so it's not wrong for fans to vote for their idols and favorite series. We are monitoring the voting. The rule didn't change compared to last year's. It's nothing like we allow fans to vote crazily, like it states in the letter. Maybe those viewers didn't fully understand the rules."
Chan explained there are two ways for audience to vote at the Anniversary Awards: voting online at tvb.com and voting by mail. Everyone has one vote only; if someone tries to vote more than once, he/she will be disqualified from the voting.
Reporters searched related voting information and found voters have to fill in their ID numbers on the mail ballot. As for voting online, the basic requirement is to become a tvb.com member and members will need to fill in their ID numbers as well.**

Arashi's 34th single, "Hatenai Sora," is officially confirmed as the top single for this week. The single sold 572,000 copies, surpassing their previous personal record set by their debut song "A-RA-SHI" in 1999 (557,000 copies).
"Hatenai Sora" is the group's 30th number-one single. The only other artists who have reached that milestone are B'z and Ayumi Hamasaki. Arashi achieved it 11 years after their debut, ahead of B'z (14 and a half years) but slightly behind Hamasaki (10 years).

Moses Chan, Adam Cheng and Maggie Tsui attended the blessing ceremony of TVB new series The War of Heart. Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) and Gillian Chung (Ah Gill) reunited as Twins again to hold their "Everyone Bounces Up Concert" in Macau last night. However, the group experienced many hard luck moments. Raymond Lam new album "Come 2 Me Concert"

"Inu to Anata no Monogatari" release next year
AKB48's Mariko Shinoda (24) is making her big screen debut with a starring role in the omnibus movie "Inu to Anata no Monogatari: Inu no Eiga." The movie is a sequel to the 2005 film "Inu no Eiga," which tells various stories about people and their dogs.

Fuji TV is on a roll with its recent live-action "Sazae-san" drama specials. After the first one got 20.9% ratings last year and the second one got 16.5% ratings this past summer, a third one is now in the works. Fuji TV will ring in the new year with the special episode, airing it on January 2.

Asian Games Torchbearer Relay Event
Recently at the Asian Games Torchbearer Relay Event, apart from seeing famous Olympics and World Champion athletes, a group of artists were in attendance, including Alan Tam, Eric Tsang, Zhang Ziyi, Charlene Choi and Hins Cheung, all bound to bring cheers and energy to the scene.

Gigi Leung ongoing concert on Christmas Eve
Hong Kong singer-actress Gigi Leung has announced she will hold a concert at the Beijing Workers' Gymnasium on Christmas Eve, which will be her first live concert in the capital city.
The 34-year-old began her singing career 15 years ago with her debut album, "Love Myself". Until now, she has released over 30 albums. During an interview with web portal, Sina.com.cn, Leung explained why she didn't give a concert in Beijing beforehand, "I released about a dozen Mandarin albums, which I think is enough for opening a concert in Beijing, so when the organizer talked with me about the concert, I agreed."
As for the details, Leung refused to reveal more, but said the guest singer will be an actor who collaborated with her in a movie. Since 1995, Leung starred in more than 20 movies along with acting veterans Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Andy Lau, Daniel Chan and Jet Li.

Former KAT-TUN member Jin Akanishi (26) is currently on tour in the United States, but he already has some big concerts planned upon his return to Japan. On January 14-16, he will hold three consecutive shows at the Saitama Super Arena.
Akanishi made his solo debut in the U.S. with three concerts in Los Angeles this past June. Aiming to expand his international activities, he later scheduled his current "Yellow Gold" tour, which started in Chicago on November 7 and ends in New York on November 21.
As his main fan base is still located primarily in Japan, Akanishi has stated before that he hopes to use Japan as his base while he works on building his audience overseas. It was revealed last month that he plans to make his solo CD debut (not counting "BANDAGE") with a simultaneous release in Japan and the U.S. That single is expected to come out in early 2011, possibly timed to coincide with his Saitama Super Arena concerts.

New movie : "Kyou no Wanko"
"Kyou no Wanko" ("Today's Doggie"), a popular segment from the Fuji TV morning show "Mezamashi TV," has given birth to a theatrical film, it has been learned. The movie revolves around one of the dogs that appeared on the show and features performances by Ryuta Sato (30) and Kumiko Aso (32).
Fuji TV is producing the film based on a true story from the small island of Miyakejima, which had to be evacuated in 2000 due to eruptions from the island's volcano, Mount Oyama. At the time of the evacuation, a dog named Rock was separated from its owner, but the two were miraculously reunited when the island's residents were partially allowed back onto the island 5 years later. Since then, the dog has been a local celebrity, and its fame spread beyond the island when it was featured in a special episode of "Kyou no Wanko" in 2007.

At the time of the evacuation, a dog named Rock was separated from its owner, but the two were miraculously reunited when the island's residents were partially allowed back onto the island 5 years later. Since then, the dog has been a local celebrity, and its fame spread beyond the island when it was featured in a special episode of "Kyou no Wanko" in 2007.

Lucas Tse, the three-year-old son of Hong Kong star couple Cecilia Cheung and Nicholas Tse, is following in his parents' show-business footsteps.
Lucas will join his actress mother in a comedy film provisionally named "The Invaluable Treasure" ("Wu Jia Zhi Bao"), the "West China Metropolis Daily" reports, citing He Shiping, President of the film's investment company, Emei Film Group.
In his acting debut, Lucas will play a child who travels to a small island with his parents and encounters a gang.
Cecilia Cheung plays the boy's mother in the film. Other cast members and the director have yet to be announced.
The film is set for release next summer, He Shiping said.

It's been half a month since Selina Jen and her costar Yu Hao Ming were severely injured on the set of their drama "I have a date with spring". According to the production team's investigation, the main cause of the accident was due to operational errors by the explosives engineer.
Five explosion points were setup to go off off one-by-one, but instead, they exploded all at once while the two stars were still running away from them. The investigation report has been submitted to the respective management companies. HIM records said they plan to meet with professionals before commenting on the report.
Many questions were raised after the investigation was made public. However, that's the least of Ren Ba's (Selina's dad) concerns right now, "We are really not blaming anyone. What has passed has passed. We have really let go, and accepted the facts. I only think about her health."
He said his daughter is thankful for the beautiful life she has been given and will frankly accept her scars. Ren Ba also updated his blog on the 10th with some good news -- "Thank you to the greater powers! Hsuan Hsuan (Selina) slept well last night. Super Junior’s Sungmin has been confirmed for the role of ‘Jang Sungmin’ in KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama, “President.”
Sungmin will play the role of Jang Sungmin, the son of ‘Choi Su Jong‘ and ‘Ha Hee Ra‘, is a politics-major student who dreams of becoming a politician like his father. Although he attempts to help his father earn votes, his efforts aren’t always fair.

The new album makes use of her popularity gained from various dramas, most notably as the selfless Lv Su in 神话 The Myth . AKB48's latest single "Beginner"
Just before the release of AKB48's latest single "Beginner" two weeks ago, it was announced that more than 1 million copies were being shipped. On November 10, the Recording Industry Association of Japan officially certified that it has shipped 1 million copies, becoming the group's first single to reach that milestone.
The last single to achieve a certified million was Masafumi Akikawa's "Sen no Kaze ni Natte" in August 2007.
"Beginner" already sold approximately 827,000 copies in its first week, setting a new record as a female group. In its second week, the single sold roughly an additional 64,000 copies to put its total sales at around 891,000 copies, as it edges closer to a potential 1 million in actual sales.

New TBS drama series "Fuyu no Sakura"
SMAP's Tsuyoshi Kusanagi (36) is set to star in a new TBS drama series this winter, titled "Fuyu no Sakura." The heroine role will be played by Miki Imai (47), who has not appeared in a drama series since she starred in "Brand" in 2000.
"Fuyu no Sakura" is described as a pure love story with similarities to the popular Korean drama "Winter Sonata" (titled "Fuyu no Sonata" in Japan). Kusanagi plays a gentle glass craftsman in Yamagata who has no experience in love. Imai plays an older housewife with a husband and daughter who goes on a trip alone to Yamagata, hoping to see sakura trees blooming in winter. She gets into an accident, but is saved by Kusanagi. He ends up tending to her, and the two are soon drawn to each other.
Takeru Sato (21) will play Kusanagi's brother, who left Yamagata and coincidentally worked as a trainee doctor at the hospital run by Imai's husband, played by Masanobu Takashima (44). Rosa Kato (25) will play Sato's girlfriend.

"Taira no Kiyomori" airing in January
Nikkan Sports is reporting that Kenichi Matsuyama (25) has been chosen to star in NHK's 2012 taiga drama, "Taira no Kiyomori." No official announcement has been made yet, but if the report is true, it will be Matsuyama's first time appearing in one of the taiga dramas.
NHK revealed in August that the 2012 series would be about Taira no Kiyomori, a general during the 12th century who led the Taira clan to power. As previously mentioned, the show's producer is aiming to undo the villainous image that Taira no Kiyomori has had up until now.

KARA is once again hitting Japan by storm for the second time around!
Their 2nd Japanese Single "Jumping" was released on the 10th of November and on it's release it debuted 5th on the Oricon Daily Singles chart. Their first Japanese Single "Mister" also debuted 5th on the Oricon Singles chart, and KARA hit's the same impressive record with the release of their new single.
"Jumping" is an 80's Europop song with a mix of contemporary dance pop also KARA showed powerful vocals and choreography with nice outfits on their music video showing a modern and hip atmosphere, also they released the Korean version of their single simultaneously in Japan and Korea.

Ikimono Gakari's best album "Ikimono Bakari ~Members BEST Selection~" was released last week, and it has already sold 457,000 copies, more than doubling the first-week sales of their last album. That amount sets this year's current first-week sales record for an artist with female vocals, surpassing AKB48's "Kamikyokutachi" (295,000). Even including male artists, they are in second place behind Arashi's "Boku no Miteiru Fuukei" (731,000).

The premise of the show has KARA working for an underworld service as for-hires, but instead of killing their targets, their missions require them to make those men fall in love with them. Each week, a mysterious boss will give them their new target - from powerful politicians to kabuki actors to ordinary salarymen - and they will use any technique they can to accomplish their goal. But due to their inexperience with love, various problems come up during their missions.
Producer Kaori Hashimoto said, "There's no doubt that you'll be able to see another face of KARA that has never been seen before." The show will freely blend reality and fiction, with the members using their own names to give it a greater feeling of authenticity.
