Miss Hong Kong's Edelweiss Cheung
Samantha Ko often used several attempts to get attention while competing in Miss Hong Kong. Yesterday Miss Hong Kong's Edelweiss Cheung. Skye Chan, Sire Ma, Samantha Ko and hosts Sharon Luk and Yoyo Chen went to Malaysia to film a charity travel programme. Edelweiss had a stomach upset and only filmed for a short while. She returned back to the hotel afterwards. She said "Actually there wasn't a big problem, I rarely have a upset stomach. But to be honest I was not required to go on any amusement rides because I don't have the courage to."
Not sure if it was because Edelweiss had given up on challenging herself that Samantha started to grab attention again. U-Kiss perform title song "Not Young"
U-Kiss finally made their debut performance on August 28 for Mnet. They performed their title song "Not Young," showing off their cute dance choreography.

SNSD went to GaRak high school to perfom…Overall, it was a fail. During kissing you + babybay…fans were pushing each other and many people fell and got hurt. Some non fan shouted “this is why DC happened” + “Soshi fans are idiots”…In other words, it was a complete chaos. As the situation exacerbated, our girls were worried. Some fans said, “Sunny had this depressing look…” Anyways, due to chaos, they had to stop the performance; our girls went back in while the MC tried to pacify the wild crowd. Few moments later, our girls came back to peform GG and it was much better. However, many people kept pushing each other. As a result, some people left.
There was another performance at GyungBok high school. Overall, everything went smoothly. Although there were some rude fans, who stood up and blocked people’s view, majority of the fans behaved; unlike some fans at Garak who went berserk.

Niki took time out to film "Light" MV and TVB's new drama "KOP"
Niki has been extremely busy recently. Besides filming for TVB's new drama "KOP", she's also preparing for her album which is coming out at the end of September. Last week, she took time out to film "Light" MV and revealed that she's quite nervous about her album. "It's been almost 1.5 years since my last album, so I'm quite nervous. I'm really glad that I could work with so many top lyricist and composer, such as Khalil Fong composing for Light."
When Niki was filming the MV, the director required her to film it like she was filming an ad for woman's sanitary napkins to emphasize the topic, light. Niki said "I really like watching those ads. I think it gives audience a really happy and comfortable feeling, sort of like my personality as well". Also, this Saturday is Niki's birthday, she revealed that she will holds a fans gathering, just like in past years. Unfortunately she will be working on the actual day and hopes that she will have time to celebrate with family.

2PM join with 2AM form a mega boyband known as "One Day"
JYP has his pride on the line for "2PM", his newest boyband since the days of legendary G.O.D.
2PM finally released their much anticipated single album "Hottest Time of the Day" on August 29. JYP revealed that "this group is my pride and reputation" because 2PM is his newest boyband in 10 years since the creation of G.O.D. The title of their album "Hottest Time of the Day" implies that 2PM will reflect the bussle and activity of mid-day by working hard as a dance group.
2PM's title song is "10 points out of 10". And I definitely give them a perfect score - "10 out of 10" - because this song will be the next sensation Their single album contains 6 tracks, including "Only You" and "Angel". Their title song "10 points out of 10" is a fusion of rock(ish) guitar ripples, electronica, with a hip-pop beat that shows JYP's daring style.
The music video was created by the same producer, Jang Jae Hyuk, that made the MVs for Wonder Girls and Rain. It was set in the new W hotel in Seoul, showing a chic, trendy vibe. The MV is about the 7 guys in 2PM being awe-strucked by a gorgeous lady that walks into the hotel. They give her a "10 out of 10" for her beauty, simultaneously playing out their erotic fantasies. Aaron Kwok has become a Guinness world record
Hong Kong pop star Aaron Kwok says he has become a Guinness world record holder for performing on the largest indoor revolving stage.
Kwok celebrated his new title with a press conference on Wednesday in Hong Kong where, in February, he wowed fans by dancing on a 10 by 9.44-meter, 450-degree revolving stage during his De Show Reel tour.
During the show, the stage took Kwok back and forth as it switched vertically and horizontally for as high as 10 meters.
Holding the Guinness certificate, Kwok told reporters that it was a significant moment in his career.
The 42-year-old singer staged 16 shows during the De Show Reel tour between late 2007 and early this year, with attendees totaling 170,000.
He is set to kick off another world tour this Saturday, bringing with him the crew who built the world record stage.

TVB new series "The Legend of the Demigods"
TVB new series "The Legend of the Demigods" held a promotional event yesterday. The cast that attended include Linda Chung, Benny Chan, Nancy Wu, Halina Tam, Kara Hui and Stephen Au etc. One of the games they played was to transfer the fruit to the opposite table but weren't allowed to use their hands. Linda was careless and knocked over a plate of fruit. Stephen didn’t care about hygiene and used his toes to pick up the grapes from the floor. Linda and Benny cooperated very well together. Not only did they joke around on the stage but fed each other pieces of fruit while taking pictures. Linda stated that the series viewing rating were around 27-28 points but she had no time to watch her own performance.
Linda who has recently released her debut album went to Toronto for 2 days earlier to do a live show. She had the opportunity to sing 8 songs and felt it was like performing her own concert. However, she didn’t sing her own songs because she was worried the audience may get bored since they weren't familiar with them. Also her album was currently not available for sale overseas. Therefore, she sang other artists songs. "My fan’s in Toronto asked their friends in Hong Kong to help them buy my album. While I was doing autographs, many fans handed me the CD they brought for me to sign. I will certainly sing my own songs for them next time I'm there. Although, Linda was busy promoting her album and filming new series "Dogs on the Beat", she still found time to earn extra money by doing live shows. She claimed that she will go on vacation right after she finishes filming the new series to reward herself for her hardwork. She has chosen to go to Cuba with her family as it’s cheap and a beautiful place.

Actress Tang Wei became a citizen Hong Kong on Monday
One of China’s least favorite celebrities, actress Tang Wei (湯唯), became a citizen of Hong Kong on Monday, a change in status that should allow her to continue her acting career, which had stalled following her performance in Lust, Caution (色戒) in 2007. According to a report posted on Internet site Now News (今日新聞), Tang has had bans placed on her appearing on TV and other media because of her steamy performance in that film. As a citizen of the former British colony, it is suggested, she will now be able to pursue her goal of becoming the next Zhang Ziyi (章子怡).

Channel [V] all new program “哪裡5打 抗” has done its first shooting recently, with its host Owodog, Lil Jay/Brian and A-Wei from the group Lollipop, Apple is leading a show. Law Lim 43th Birthday
Yesterday was Law Lim’s 43th birthday and so all singers sang a birthday song for her on the spot. Her son accompanied her to attend the activity and has earlier given her a birthday card with a teddy bear as present. Law Lim’s wishes all her family and friends could live happily, healthily and hope all is well. She also mentioned that her family will migrate to one of the South-East Asian countries but not mentioned which country yet. Regarding the Gala of Olympics Gold Medalist which would take place on Saturday in Hong Kong, Ho Lai-Chuen stated that the list of singers was not confirmed as it depends on who the medalists wanted to cooperate with. Each singer has the chance to solo perform; still they have to wait for approval from the relevant department.

Yumiko, Kenny, William, Law Lam, Ho Lai-Chuen, Mandy Lieu, Takuya Suzuki and many more celebrities attended the Grand Finale of a Model Competition yesterday. Together Yumiko and Kenny poked fun of the scandal between William and Angelababy. Kenny jokingly said that he drove with Yumiko to feel the strength of the typhoon on that day. They felt hungry during the outing and it reminded them about the burger advertisement of Angelababy. They then followed the advertisement plot on a playground. Janice Man, who has attended the “Sesame Street’s Annual Sports Carnival” closing ceremony, revealed that after two weeks of modeling assignments, she is now ready to dedicate herself again for the movie industrial. This includes Oxide Pang’s new movie, “ Fundamental Love ” which recently changed its name from “ Triangle Wrongs ” and the promotion over the dubbed movie.
In the new movie, Janice plays the role of a fishmonger. The leading actor and actress of the movie will be Rex from Square, and Elanne Ling who will be playing the role of a patient. Although it is big challenge for her, Janice will learn how to butcher a fish for the sake of a real realistic sensation. She says with a smile, ‘ It is rather embarrassing as I have never even lay on my hands on a dead fish before. But for the sake of this movie, I’m willing to learn how to. Luckily, the director provided me with gloves to catch and kill the fish. It certainly beats by using my bare hands.’
The change of environment to movie making was hard for her to adapt.

Leo Ku received Short Message (SMS) from Liu Xiang

Hwang Bo and Kim Hyun Joong 100th wedding
Originally scheduled for 10th August, Hwang Bo and Kim Hyun Joong 100th wedding photoshoot episode was pushed back for two consecutive weeks due to MBC’s Beijing Olympics coverage. JYP Entertainment officially revealed
JYP (Park Jin Young), CEO of JYP Entertainment officially revealed on the 25th (today in Korea) his latest creation 2PM, a 7-member boy band.
JYP released a photo of the group as well as a statement, "My pride hangs with this group. It is the first boy band I am releasing since g.o.d. which was 10 years ago." In addition, JYP stated, "Since this is the first boy band in 10 years, I put extra effort into the creation of this group. This group will change the meaning of the phrase 'boy band,' if they weren't different, I wouldn't allow them to debut."
